Ideology of the Cold War The Cold War began after World War II. The United States and the Soviet Union had growing tension during World War II. By the end of the war, they had become mortal enemies. The powers between the two were not equal though, as the United States had a flourishing economy and the Soviet Union economy was crashing. It was clear that the United States and the Soviet Union were in a power struggle, which became known as the Cold War. The ideology of the Cold War period can perhaps best be described in May’s words, as an “ ideology of consensus”. ( McDonald ) The Cold War was Characterized by mutual distrust, suspension
A war does not necessarily require physical weapons to fight. From 1947 to 1991, military tension and ideological conflicts held place. Cold War is defined as a state of political hostility existing between countries, characterized by threats, violent propaganda, subversive activities, and other measures short of open warfare, in particular. The causes of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union were the mutual distrust that had taken place in World War II, intense rivalry between the two super powers, and conflicting ideologies. The two superpowers differed in views of political and economic principles and were eager to spread their ideologies to other countries.
The Cold War was the most important historic event in the 20th century after the Second World War, from 1945 till 1991 between two most powerful countries in that period – Soviet Union and USA. The Cold War invested a lot in world politics. What is the Cold War? This was a war for dominance in the world. In 1945 the USA was the only one country in the world that had the nuclear weapons. In today's day in age, the Democratic and Republican parties seem to be completely diverse. These two parties have completely opposing views on topics ranging from social issues, health care, tax policy, labor and free trade, foreign policy, crime and capital punishment, energy and environmental issues, and even education. Once upon a time however, these two groups were not as polarized as they have become. Both were once a single party known as the Democratic-Republican Party, formed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in 1791. This sole party favored the idea of a decentralized, democratic government. They despised the idea of the U.S government becoming anything similar to England's monarchy system at the time. They also supported states’ rights as well as the literal and strict interpretation of the U.S Constitution. The group's purpose was to stand against the Federalists who were
The United States of America has two political parties, Democrats and Republicans. The parties were created back in the 1800s and have become their own.The parties are both part of the American government, but they do not believe the same way. The differences in the parties are their beliefs in social issues. The disagreement between the two have been around since they were created. Although the political parties do not agree on social issues, they both want what is best for citizens in the United States. Without the two parties, America would not not have a way to tell their opinions. Democrats and Republicans have many similarities and differences.
Though many things have changed, there are still many similarities between the first and second political party systems. The Democratic Party and the Democratic-Republican Party have a major similarity when it comes to economics. The Democratic Party did not support the American System because it called for a new national bank, uniform currency, and a protective tariff. The American System is the perfect example of the government influencing the economy, and the Democratic Party did not believe in this government intervention because they believed that it gave the wealthy even more privilege. Similarly, the Democratic-Republican Party did not want a government that influenced the economy. They wanted a government that was weaker and that would take a more hands off approach with regards to

Of the many political parties that exist today, two are well- recognized nation wide; these are the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. These two parties started as one, which was known as the Democratic-Republican Party. In 1792, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson organized a single Democratic- Republican Party; but after the elections in 1824, due to many disagreements between the people who were supporting each candidate, the party was divided and became what we know today as the National Republicans and the Democratic Party. There is also the Libertarian Party, which is the third largest political party in the United States.
The Cold War is a term developed to represent the antagonistic relationship between the United States and the Soviet Union between the mid 1940s until the end of the 1990s. The development of tension between these two countries represented two differentiating perspectives on ideological that also impacted the rest of the world. As a result, I believe the Cold War still has an impact on our world today due to the constant issue of the security dilemma as well as the current relations countries have with each other.

Throughout history Democrats and Republicans are known to have a difference of opinions when it comes to their parties and ideas. However, there are similarities between the parties. There are many fundamental differences between the parties it can be quite difficult to find things that are agreed upon between parties. We all have the right to vote and many young people do not know the difference between the Republican party and Democrat party. The difference between the two is that Republicans are known as conservatives and Democrats are known as liberals.
By another account, the Cold War began in 1917 with the Bolshevik Revolution, and ended in 1991 with the collapse of the Soviet Union, having been a conflict between Bolshevism and Democracy. The Cold War got its name because both sides were afraid of fighting each other in such a “hot war”, nuclear weapons might destroy everything. So, instead, they fought each other indirectly. They played havoc with conflicts in different parts of the world. They used words as weapons.
