Why I Want to Attend SciTech
Did you ever strive to get to a higher stage in life? Maybe it had something to do with the goal that you wanted to fulfill , or maybe you were just anxious to complete that one goal you set for yourself in life. If you understand what it means to strive for a goal you can understand why being a student at SciTech High is so important to me. Going to SciTech will mean the world to me because it will help me succeed and pursue my dreams. Attending SciTech High would open new doors for me and give me more opportunities to experience the world in a new way. At the same time, I will be intellectually sound, determined, and confident as I continue my education.
In order to be intellectually sound, I plan on trying to be more prepared for everything because I sometimes tend to be unaware of things and I do not always know what is going on. I am working on changing this behavior so that I can be successful in my schoolwork and leisure activities. I will be more able to stay on top of my assignments and turn them in on time. Turning my work in on time ...
I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. At college I can be intellectually and academically challenged; I will be able to learn with friends who are as dedicated to learning and the pursuit of knowledge as I am. My goals in college are to acquire the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life, to expand my knowledge of the world, to step out of my comfort zone, and to become more proactive.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." This is my all-time favorite quote. It is my motivation when the skies around me become cloudy. It is the fuel that feeds my ever-growing hunger to dance. Living by this motto will help me achieve my goal of becoming not just a professional dancer, but also an inspiration to others. My strong extracurricular background provides for a solid base, serving as a great steppingstone as I reach closer and closer to making my dream a reality.
Secondly, I will be more of an active reader. By doing so, I will highlight key phrases and or words, as well as take notes on major concepts. Lastly, I plan to go over my notes weekly to help keep all newly learned material retained.
For my academic goal, on the other hand, I am going to graduate high school and continue on to college. During high school, my plan is to take as many advanced classes as possible. I am going to
I would love to go to a school with a math, science, and technology focus because I have always been better at math, science, and technology, and a school with this kind of focus would be able to provide me the best. Most other schools would not be able to compensate my math level, and not have the proper facilities to assist in my many experiments. Also, if I get into such a school, I am certainly going.
High school is one of the biggest decisions that I, as a young teenager, has to make. I am truly concerned that I am going to choose a school that is not going to help me. Though immediately as I walked through the doors of Thomas More High School for the open house in 2014, I knew right then and there that this was the school for me. I loved the environment and how everyone was so welcoming. The academics fit perfectly for what I want to do in my future. There are other little details that really sold me on the school. It had ultimately a great school that had everything that I could ever ask for.
...ather than being the annoying borrower. This preparedness has spread too many aspects of my life. It has caused me to think ahead of situations and predict what I may need before entering a scenario. Since beginning college, I have become a much more proactive and prepared individual.
High school is a time in life when teenagers learn a lot about themselves. Personally I learned that I have to work hard to get what I want and that I could do anything that I set my mind to. For me coming to Rockhurst High School was initially a struggle. Although I was had straight A's before high school, I soon realized that high school could not be compared to middle school. The school district I came from was nonaccredited at the time and did not prepare me to be well equipped in high school. I knew that coming from one of the worst public school districts in Kansas City to going to one of the top private high school schools in Missouri, would not be easy and I was up for the challenge. Starting out freshman year I noticed that my grades were not what I had hoped for them to be and became very worried. Instead of taking the easy way out and transferring to an easier school I decided to challenge myself and stay at Rockhurst. At the end of my freshman year I
In the next year I would like to attend college and within the next three years I would like to be done with my college classes and be an Registered Nurse (RN). After becoming a RN I have thought about going back to college and getting either a doctorate or take classes to become a surgical tech. I would like to start working in a hospital to get extra experience with the healthcare system and to also help further my education. Also, working in a hospital can help me figure out my area of interest. I have a couple ideas already, but the hands-on activity is what will help me decide at last. Although I am more likely to attend a community college than other students, scholarships are still important to me to help cover the cost of the classes
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
Throughout school there’s not a single class you get lower than an A in, surprisingly. Your freshman year of college is an enjoyable time, as you join a few clubs and meet a couple good friends. Even better is your sophomore year, where you meet your significant other and make a load of new friends. Junior year is enjoyable, but a lot of hard work and will get tough at times. Senior year is a great year, and you and your partner get married this year. Also, as soon as you get out of college you find a job instantly. You work for a research laboratory, that is founded in 2020, and you work to create new biotechnologies that help those with injuries. You are able to connect the new technologies to the nerves in the human body, and give sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. You make a lot of money, but don’t even realize it because you are so absorbed in your work for 3 years. Those 3 years are the most fruitful of your career, and you advance the world further in technology, and even use your own technology on yourself for a year after a slight injury you have, but then replace that
In today’s society, college is a rite of passage for many young adults. It is a privilege that many people take for granted. For me, it is an opportunity to not only better myself but also the career field that I intend to enter. I believe that one does not stop learning outside of the classroom and that a college is a place where you learn more about yourself as well as other perspectives the world contains. Investing in my future, meeting new people and self growth are the ultimate benefits that are gained when one attends college.
In my first years of teaching I plan to get a better understanding of my school community and the surrounding community, so I know where and how to get support for my students. I plan on attending trainings to keep up with the various concepts and principles that I will have to follow when teaching. I will also need to develop deeper understandings of adolescent development which will help when I am teaching to see changes in behavior and understanding and how it relates to each individual student. As a long term goal I will build relationships with fellow teachers to provide them support and learn together to become a team of advocates for our students. I know that it is up to me to grow and continue learning all that I can to provide my students the best learning experience possible.
Overall, I 'm going to strive to be the absolute best self I can be. More specifically, that means I want to strive to get more leadership skills, because so far I don 't have very much experience with taking responsibility for another group of people. I also want to work more on creating stronger personal relationships. As of right now, I 've been very good at overlooking potential friends and disconnecting easily from the friends I already have. This just isn 't healthy for me, because I feel like a strong network of supportive people would really help me feel better about the life I have outside of class. Lastly, I also want to make sure that I maintain my drive to succeed. I 'm really hoping that nothing happens over the next three years to make me lose my motivation because my determination to reach my goals, though I don 't completely know where it comes from, is what has gotten into this university in the first place and I would really hate to leave with nothing to show for
When I was 8 year old I scored 100 out of 100 marks in Mathematics and when my class teacher announced the results whole class stood and clapped, I can never forget that overwhelming moment in my life, I was so happy and contended, and that day I understood the importance of education in life. My parents couldn’t study after high school due to financial restrictions but they always taught me importance of higher education to imagine and pursue goals. My family has been extremely supportive throughout the journey and has constantly motivated me to realize my potential to the fullest extent by providing conducive environment for studying and encouraging me in my endeavors. Throughout my high school, I enjoyed two things: Mathematics and Extra-curricular activities, these activities helped me to gain team skills, stress management skills and social relationship skills.
