Defining Goals
I love to write, I express my emotions towards a certain topic through writing, which lead me to the idea of writing a book. My goal for this capstone was to write a book that will explain real life experiences of people who battled hardships in their lives. I hoped to learn from these people's hardships, so it could help me battle my hardships, and to help all the readers overcome all the hardships in their lives. My goal was to interview people, write down their stories, type their stories, put it into one book, bind the book, and give my book to people to read, so they can understand the hardships of people living in the Middle East. I will know that I have reached my goal when I see the readers of my story encouraged to give a helping hand to the people in the Middle East, and fight for their rights.
Applying Information
At first I was thinking of maybe helping out in a hospital, and foreshadow doctors. Also I wanted to meet patients, and help them out in their necessities (get something for them, help them walk around). This is because I love to talk to the patients, and get to make their boring times more fun. I wanted to pursue a career in health and medicine, so this will be like an internship. I also want to talk to many different doctors and get to observe different fields, to see which field I would like to pursue when I get older. I would like to see doctors working in the fields of neurology, epidemiology, and cardiology.
Then I realized I couldn't go to the hospital because it’s very time worthy, because I have such a busy life right now. So I am deciding to write a book on the story of the lives of seniors living in senior houses, because I think they have great stories. Also most sen...

Since a young age, I always felt inclined towards pursuing a career in the health care field; daydreaming about myself working at a clinic or hospital and making a positive impact on someone’s life. When I started college, I decided to major in Biology and explored the different career options the health field had to offer me by shadowing dietitians, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare workers to find my ideal job.
I plan to use my education to teach the patients about the importance of oral health and what can be done by them to improve their daily brushing habits. Also, I can go on mission trips with other doctors to help patients in need like in Africa, military. I recently signed up to volunteer at okmom program that is going to held in February 2017. It is a two-day event providing free dental clinical treatment to patients that cannot afford insurance or dental services. I am planning to help as assistant and translator at this event.
Ever since I was younger, I wanted to get into the medical field. Both my grandmothers used to work in the hospital and I would always wanted to tag along. Following them to work influenced my decision to work in a hospital. Every time I tag along, I would see many interesting things that would catch my attention and make me curious. There was a lot of materials such as the stethoscope, weighing machine, and etcetera that I would pretend to be a doctor or nurse examining imaginary people. It was absolutely perfect because I always wanted to help people. So this fall of 2014, I will be starting my education on becoming a nurse anesthetist.
I ambitiously decided that I would brighten the lives of the elderly by volunteering at a rest home, but discovered that the elderly were being neglected, shoved aside and forgotten. As I stepped into the home a pungent odor penetrated my nostrils, causing an instantaneous gagging reflex. The place was abounded with neglected and subdued inhabitants, yearning for attention. Anybody that passed them caused a sudden outburst of ranting. The negligence and disregard the home displayed appalled me, but helped me to realize that I wanted to make a difference and change the condition people live in.

Throughout this researched that I investigated I became interested in this field in a way. If I had an option in medical field I would take the option. Knowing that you are helping patients out is an amazing feeling. I would work with infants rather than adults. I would cherish every moment because you would never know if that’s the last time to work with the patient not just because of death but maybe cause they might recover from there sickness.
As these few tales reveal, my memories of writing are strongly connected with the intense emotions I felt as I grew up. They are filled with joy, disappointment, boredom, and pride. I believe that each of these experiences has brought me to where I am today. I can only look to the future and hope that my growth will continue, and my writing will reflect those changes within me. As a writer, I have grown immeasurably and will continue to so long as I can find some paper and a pencil.
Whether disabled or aging, when physical limitations occur or mental capacity declines, it can be a stressful and emotionally difficult time for everyone. A medical crisis can set off a chain reaction that many families are not prepared for; and it used to be the “end of the line” for some to continue living at home. Advocates for Aging at Home LLC (AAH), is a fee-for-service provider, offering advanced aging and disabled care solutions, as needed hourly home-care and live-in home care. We are a family owned local business and we recognize the personal value that aging at home can bring to an individual and their family. We strive to help people spend the remainder of their life at home when it is in a healthy environment and when it is safe and practical.

At the moment I am currently a rising sophomore who seek to gain exposure in the medical field by participating in internships to obtain experience. Health Career Connection best aligns with my goal of becoming a pediatrician by working with preceptors and mentors who can expose me to different aspects of the medical field. My ideal internship experience has networking and professional development components to mold me into a well grounded professional. By participating in this summer internship I will enhance the skills I have already acquired and improve on my weaknesses as I seek to grow as a professional health care provider. Learning about the roles of administrative and clinical professionals, being acquainted with health care ethics are interest I want to be familiar with. This program would help mold me into a well-rounded professional capable of working with fellow workers and clients. Understanding what is expected of me is a
I have always wanted to be a scientist and contribute something to the human cause and what better way to achieve this than by doing medical research? Medical school taught me the art of medicine and the research projects that I undertook taught me the science of medicine. What interests me the most is a path that combines the two, and one way to make that possible is to be an academic physician. I have always wanted to work in a teaching hospital or academic institution, one that would give me the opportunity to take care of patients, give me the time and resources to carry out trials and present them and to be able to interact with trainees.
The story I mentioned above is about a resident named Mary Denton, she saw where she could make a difference in the other residents’ lives and seized the opportunity to do so. At the age of 94 years old, Ms. Denton was very observant of the new residents demeanor when being admitted in the Long-term care facility. Ms. Denton realize these residents became very sad and felt home sick. Ms. Denton approached her nurse and expressed her
