Homosexual Parenting: Yay or Nay ?

Homosexuality as a whole has been and is still a very controversial topic globally. There are many different kinds of discussions about the LGBT community, such as gays and lesbians being parents. Some critics tend to believe that homosexual parenting is bad for kids, as if a person’s sexuality determines whether or not they are a good parent.. There is no definite proof that being homosexual makes you a good or bad parent. So, there is no way of being one-hundred percent sure that homosexual parenting results in gender role confusion, psychological harm, or a child being homosexual themselves.
Being homosexual does not make you a bad parent. Anyone who is willing to take on their responsibilities as a good and loving parent makes a great mom or dad. So, asking if gays and lesbians make good parents is just like asking if white people make good parents, or jewish people make good parents. A person’s ability to be a good parent shouldn’t be based off of any of those things. It should be based on whether or not they will love, protect, support, care, or dedicate themselves to their child. If a person does these things, and then some, then why shouldn’t they be able to become parents?
Homosexual parents may or may not cause gender role confusion in young children. Critics love to comment on how homosexuals cause their children to be confused about gender roles, but as long as their parents explain and teach them how society expects a certain gender to behave, then the child should be fine. Times have changed, so the idea of women doing one thing, while men do the other is kind of going out of the window. ...to show her how to be a lady. This does not mean that they cannot learn these character traits in life without a man showing a boy, or a woman showing a girl. When it is all said and done all a child needs is someone or some people to care about. If a man can walk on the moon, surely homosexuals can raise just as descent children as heterosexuals.
