The Philosophy of a Helper Bee In a world where every individual desires to acquire money, prosper, and make a life for themselves nevertheless no part of my being aspires any of it. My life's work wants nothing more than to help other people because at the end of the day, my long list of people I have helped will be worth more than your money. The way I grew up, I would have been the same way as everyone else, but it was with the experiences I have gone through along with my favorite movie, book, quote, historical figure, and my very own personal hero which all single handedly helped mold me to the person I am glad to be today. In the movie, Saving Private Ryan, directed by Steven Spielberg, we follow a group of men during the D-Day invasion. After their dreadful expedition up Omaha Beach they are glad to even be alive, then they get a mission straight from the top of the Army military chain to risk all of their lives to save one random guy name James Francis Ryan (who's three other brothers have been killed during the D-Day invasion). Even though they think the mission is foobar, their captain tells them, “maybe saving Private Ryan is the one decent thing we'd pull of this whole god-awful mess.” Which in turn helps change their mind set on their journey to save Private Ryan although a couple of their men die in the process. Saving Private Ryan, has lots of meaningful morals such as the important bond between you and your war brothers, standing up as one to fight an evil force, but the most valuable, which stood out the most is no matter what horrible situation you are in, if you could do one action which could change another's whole life for the better, then do it no matter what even if it seems hopeless. The message of helpi... ... middle of paper ... ...e they were hers and deep down inside I was glad, but apart of myself questioned it because of what I had gone through my entire life. Magera to me is a saint disguised as a human to assist me how to be even more helpful beyond my set limits. To open up my house to foster kids, choose a profession where I am needed and in a position to be as accommodating as possible. My only life time ambition I have for myself is to be able to help each and every individual who comes my way needing help, becoming a social worker, a foster mom, and to adopt a child with Down Sydrome. I know and understand that my dreams might be a bit over my head for the average person, but I will accomplish them. At the end of my life when I am old, have gray hair, and my eye sight is even worse that it is now, I want to look back at my life knowing I was able to help everyone I possibly could.
