The Holocaust: One of the Darkest Times in Human History

The holocaust is one of the darkest times in human history. Mass exterminations, torture , and mistreatment .thee holocaust is no doubt a sensitive subject to man, but shouldn’t be covered up or hidden. Adolf Hitler thee leader of the Nazi Party was appointed the chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933 during that time Germany had a Jewish population of about 566,000.

Hitler had a hatred for Jewish people, the roots of his anti Semitism are unclear. When Hitler came to power he almost immediately began to strip Jewish people of any kind of rights.

Starting with creating a Law to strip Jewish immigrants from Poland of their German citizenship. Then moving on to pass a law allowing for forced sterilization of those found by a Hereditary Health Court to have genetic defects. They also prohibit Jews from owning land, also from being newspaper editors. Jewish people are also banned from the German labor front and stripped of national health insurance. The Jews where also prohibited from receiving legal qualifications. The Nazis ban Jewish people from serving in the military. Hitler was trying to form his version of a perfect race by not only stripping Jews of their rights but also Gypsies, the mentally ill, homosexuals, and Jehovah’s witnesses. The name for the plan of the mass extermination was called “the final solution”. The Jews where sentenced to death there was really no escape for them. Some people where very lucky, some people of Jewish ancestry were sometimes able to escape being sent to the Nazi death camps if their grandparents had converted to Christianity before the date of January 18, of 1871. ...ering again. When the news got out about the events of the Holocaust most Germans claimed they where vaguely aware about the death camps. Claiming they where misinformed about the camps, but Hitler had a 93% vote for his actions by Germany. These actions didn’t go unnoticed after all had settled after WWII the search for German officers to be charged with war crimes had started the people didn’t want the actions of the people who tortured, killed, and slaughtered them to walk away free. Many of the German SS officers where arrested for war crimes and sentenced but few escaped. In my opinion Hitler made the Jewish people stronger they ended up conquering and moving past this hard time. There are many holocaust museums and monuments symbolizing what the Jews and other people went through. In my mind the holocaust has to be the most brutal and vile event in history.
