On-line hand writing character recognition using accelerometers is the basic proto-type for all the latest technologies. This paper presents an accelerometer based hand written digit and hand gesture recognition applications. The recognition process is done by using a tri-axial accelerometer and microcontroller with inbuilt ADC interface. The wireless transmission module is used for sensing and collecting acceleration of hand written and hand gesture trajectories. User can hold the device to write alpha numeric in air without space limitations. The system uses processor to store the characters and it is interfaced to the computer for recognizing the data with any of Integrated Development Interface (IDE) as Visual Basic.

I. INTRODUCTION
In modern technologies, the gesture recognition plays important role to understand the instruction given by the human for HCI applications. A primary goal of gesture recognition research is to create a system which can identify specific human gestures and use them to convey information or for device control. Many technologies have been developed to ensure the gesture recognition for hand based applications.
The gesture recognition is useful for more applications like sign language detection, sports and games applications, controlling the operation of T.V like smart TV applications. The ability to track a person’s movements and determine what gestures they may be performing can be recognized by using various tools. There is a large amount of research which have been done based on the use of image/video gesture recognition depend on the environment.

Some scholars think they are all “learned, like speech, without any special effort on the part of the learner or the teacher; consequently, their importance and influence are often overlooked” (DeVito, 1968). This does not account for all nonverbal behavior like the self-touch gesture. The self-touch gesture happens when someone is nervous or intimidated, and looking for some self-assurance. While trained speakers can be taught to not to do this, who taught anyone to start doing this in the first place? These unconscious behaviors, especially body movements and gestures are what make nonverbal and kinesics interesting and important to understand
However, it was removed and the testing continue with the other candidate’s videotape, which the last five minutes were excused, because the projected length of the test status was identified to the participants and it could have had an impact on their behavior near the end as they possibly will try to bring the discussion to a close at an unnatural point. The tape was studied for different nonverbal body gestures using secret code schemes which were established based on the hypothesis that it would be possible to select those characteristics of behavior for recording which would serve as important indicators to answer the study question. The actual categories were defined drawing from existing coding schemes, which had to be modified to strike an equilibrium between scope, detail, and relevance. The codes of the observation categories for body posture used the definition representing either a female stereotype (F), a neutral pattern (N) of behavior or a male stereotype
Imagine having a creative discussion about politics with a friend who has somewhat different ideas than you. They’re trying to get their point across on why a certain presidential candidate shouldn’t win the election but, they’re just giving broad points that don’t really go in depth. Without reliable information you wouldn’t be get your point across. You need to explain to your audience that you stand with your idea and you want to get it across. In this passage called Body Language, the author does a great job at explaining how gestures work in our lives.
...zing a gesture and then using them as a unique input. Making a gesture consists of moving the pointing device in a designated pattern in a designated amount of time. Gestures could be used to input a command such as “save document” or “new document.”
A gesture is a movement of part of the body, especially a hand or the head, to express the idea or the meaning of the speaker. There are many types of gestures. The first type is descriptive, the speaker use when he or she describe a size, shape, or location. For example, if the speaker is describing a small animal, he will make he will put his palms together to take a position of something small. The second type is emphatic, and that shows strong emotions about something, either happiness, sadness, or anger. (See figure 2). Third, suggestive which convey an idea about what the speaker or the audience are saying. For example, shrugging the shoulders suggest irony on what the speaker is saying. Giving thumbs up shows that the person liked what
As a blue collar worker I can tell you that we are often preoccupied with our thoughts trying to solve problems. Sometimes all we can do is a simple hand gesture. So we’ve learned to understand different gestures in their context, whether it’s “bring me that…”, “hold this”, “help me”, etc. With so much diversity in the workforce it often became the only form of communication we had. For regardless of what language barriers may exist between us, a hand wave is a universally understood symbol of “hello”. Thus my view on gestures and body language changed. As James Paul Gee says in “What is literacy?”, “Interpretation of print (body language) is just a view point on a set of symbols (gestures), and viewpoints are always embedded in a discourse.” However not only did my view change on language but the way I perceive it as well, words are not always necessary to convey a
Hand movement is one of the most important part of body language since you can move your hand freely, it’s like an ocean without end, but the meaning of some movement could be different from culture to other that’s why we have to be careful when we use our hand in front of foreign people, for instance spreading your hands meaning that you are ...
Nonverbal communication is a constantly used form of communication for all. Most people are aware that we use nonverbal communication every day during our communication. "It is not an artificial technique to be acquired, to be used only by flowery orators" (Makodia 2009, p. 32). What people probably think of first when one says nonverbal communication, is sign language. However, this paper will cover the specific topic of detecting deceptive behaviors through monitoring body language such as facial expressions, hand gestures, and eye contact.
I did use some hand gestures in my speech. For the first few minutes I did not use them, but as I moved through my material and got into the actual demonstration some hand gestures were used. I also noticed in the video that I was not always watching the audience. I use to think that I made good eye contact, but after watching the film I really only glanced at the audience. I believe that I could make significant improvement in this part of my speeches. While I was up in front of the class I thought that I was looking out at the audience more then what I actually did.
Biometrics is defined as the unique physical characteristics or traits of human body (Jain, 2004). These characteristics and traits are used to identify each human in. Every details of the human body which differs from one human to other will be used as unique biometric data to serve as that person's unique identification in terms of retinal, iris, fingerprint, palm print and DNA. Biometric systems will collect and store this data in order to use it for verify personal identity. The combination of biometric data systems and biometric identification technologies creates the biometric security systems. The biometric security system is a lock and capture mechanism to control access to specific data. In order to access the biometric security system, an individual will need to provide their unique characteristics or traits which will be matched to a database in the system. If there is a match, the locking system will provide access to the data for the user. The locking and capturing system will activate and record information of users to accessed the data. The relationship between the biometric and biometric security system is also known as the lock and key system. The biometrics security system is the lock and biometrics is the key to open that lock (Jain, 2006).

...ther recommendation for body language is to avoid chopping gestures and pointing as they can be perceived as aggressive motions. If people shove their hands in pockets, behind their back or even cross them in front of their chest, they risk appearing closed off, stiff or belligerent. Of course, this is how most people wish to appear during the important encounters and all those motions are recommended by experts to be avoided. Further mistakes we often make are the grooming gestures which signalize nervousness. For instance playing with hair, fingernails or our jewelry, all these small movements can reveal how confidant we are at the moment and they also can distract the other person from signs which might have a positive effect when building our first impression. Also the facial expression can contribute to the positive, but also damaging impression. For example

...tention to how people react to one another’s comments, guessing the relationship between the people and guessing how each feels about what is being said. This can inform individuals to better understand the use of body language when conversing with other people. It is also important to take into account individual differences. Different cultures use different non-verbal gestures. Frequently, when observing these gestures alone the observer can get the wrong impression, for instance, the listener can subconsciously cross their arms. This does not mean that they are bored or annoyed with the speaker; it can be a gesture that they are comfortable with. Viewing gestures as a whole will prevent these misunderstandings. Non-verbal gestures are not only physical, for example; the tone of voice addressing a child will be different from the way it is addressed to an adult.
...of input device. As I read and reflect on the vast and varieties of input devices, I now realised its importance of mankind as it brings enormous advantages to us. As a conclusion, input device is a part of computer hardware. It allows users to enter and give instruction to be able in process into the computer system. An input device has improved so much with time. It is substantial to say that people of this generation cannot live without those input device. Input device have not only made our life easier but it also helps in easing our financial and time. For example, the innovation of recent popular application, Wechat. This application is designed for those who are illiterate. People can just touch the ‘hold to talk’ button and says the word out. Then, release the button, the device will record down your voice and sent it out. This will be much easier for them.
