In 1960, Paul McCarthy, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison, created a rock band in Liverpool named The Beatles, which without them knowing, would become the most successful and popular rock band in the 20th century. Popular enough that the group was the first group ever to perform at a sports arena because they needed a large enough space for all the people that bought the tickets. The Beatles became so powerful that contributed to a movement called “the British invasion”. Before The Beatles, all the musicians that made it into American were Americans. They were the first non-American group that made it to America, which opened the idea that out of America there could be better musicians or groups. It is safe to say that The Beatles made an immense influence in society and music, by changing the pattern, breaking the rules, and contributing to technological changes.
The Beatles not only changed how rock and roll was looked at, but also brought new ways to how music was heard, recorded, and performed. At the time, rock and roll was simple and meaningless, but the English group showed a different side of it. Before, rock and roll could only have guitars and drums, but The Beatles broke the rules by implementing strings and brass, while still keeping it rock. They were able to demonstrate that rock and roll could have a variety of sounds, structures, and harmonies. ...nd society were not the only ones influenced by The Beatles. The Beatles had some collaboration with The Rolling Stones; giving them their first hit written by them “I Wanna Be Your Man”. Even the late Michael Jackson was influenced by the English group. Michael Jackson was very much influenced by group that he decided to by the rights to The Beatles catalog, which made his income larger. Steve Jobs, the creator of Apple Inc was influenced by the group as well. Jobs always openly admitted that the name he decided to choose for his company was taken from The Beatles company name.
It is safe to say, that The Beatles contributed too many changes in music, technology, and society at the time. Their influences and contributions are here to stay forever, and until this day The Beatles are recognized and considered the most influential and successful group of all times.
