One month ago we had a big change in the climates in Indiana and in many states. That had not have a lowest temperature like -26° C it has not been in many years. I remembered when we had bad weather in Indiana and Chicago that canceled all airports, and all flights, because of that my uncle and my friends were stranded in Chicago airport. They did not have enough money, and there were too many people who lost their baggage. However, my uncle called me to come and get him from the airport; I told him ok. Around 3:00 P.M I drove about sixty miles, and I stopped to fill the car. When I stopped, there was a police officer who saw me, and he asked me “where are you going?” I said, “I am going to Chicago,” but he said, “You cannot go that way since it is closed.” Then I headed back to my home. Next day, at 1:00 P.M when I woke up, I took with me some food and drinks in order to not stop. Then I drove all way; when I was on the road, my speed was about thirty to forty miles pre hour. The good thing was that my car was GMC, and it was four-wheel drive. Also, there were too many cars that got in accidents and stuck on the road. Around 8:40 P.M I arrived (everyone knows that from Indiana to Chicago it takes four hours). I took my uncle and my friends back to Indiana. On my way, I saw I-65 was closed so we decided to stay in a motel, and when we wake up, we will go to Indiana. Global warming is leading the world to the danger. Global warming is one of most serious issues that we see in our life. The world would have bad consequences and disasters events due to the weather changing. Global warming is cost more damages, and one of the damages is tsunami. There are two causes of global warming air pollution, and human activities and the soluti...

...ny conferences to find out what are the solutions. There are three main solutions for global warming. First, plant many trees on the street to keep the air clean in order to take care of them, because trees get carbon dioxide and give oxygen, this is a great step to keep the air clean and it is good for us. Second, Stop deforestation as I said trees get carbon dioxide and give oxygen. Why these companies cut out trees the government must stop them and sat laws to save trees, but the only way for companies to get woods from trees is plant many trees to get the wood.

There are many things that can impact the economy, but many people would not think that global warming has much of an effect on it. Global warming is continuing to become a very large concern for people across the world. This topic is very controversial due to the fact that many people fail to believe that global warming even exists. In this case, it will often be looked at as climate changes instead.

The Earth’s current CO2 level is at 393.84ppm (CO2now, 2013). This is the highest of the high levels in the past 450,000 years. Extra carbon dioxide in the air is believed to keep temperatures steady and contributing to the greenhouse effect which causes the planet to warm. Scientists believe that humans add CO2 through the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and livestock farming to name a few. Natural processes also contribute to the CO2 emitted into the atmosphere including forest fires. Two sources on Earth remove CO2 from the atmosphere: Trees and the ocean. Deforestation can contribute to global warming because trees absorb carbon dioxide and when trees are removed the Earth loses its natural carbon storehouses. Phytoplankton consume CO2 through the photosynthesis process and transport it from the ocean’ surface to the deep. These sources eliminate 30-50% of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
How are we effected by global warming and how can we stop it? Global warming directly effects everyone and everything on Earth. The concentration of greenhouse gasses is climbing at an alarming rate. Many negative issues will take place if nothing is done stop the destruction of the Earth's atmosphere. Humans, plants, and animals contribute to the cycle of life on earth.
In 2006, former senator Al Gore created an academy award winning documentary on global warming entitled “An Inconvenient Truth” . The movie earned several awards including an academy award for best documentary and gore later received a noble peace prize. The movie discussed several different topics of great concern to global warming; such as permafrost, climbs in temperature, extinction of species, drought, and fatigue to name a few. Four writers in five different articles discussed the three topics of greenhouse gases, climate change, and causes of global warming. These writers are writer and scholar Bill McKibben in “Think Again: Climate Change” and “How Close to catastrophe”; William J. Broad, writer for the New York Times in “From a Rapt audience, a call to cool the hype”; writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Kevin O’Brien, in “Global Warming? I won’t be losing any sleep over it”; and Alan Zarembo, staff writer for the the Los Angeles Times, in “Game over on global warming?” All though the articles explain some different topics from one another, only one of them disagree with gore on the causes for global warming being humans, they all agree that there will be impacts to the environment, and all of them believe that greenhouse gases are one of the primary causes for global warming.
Many change and influences are being been concerned since average temperature has changed. While global warming is occurring, global temperatures and climate patterns are changing across the entire world. That some effects started appearing across a spread of countries is a result of human activities such as burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and agriculture result in climate change all of the problems can be addressed by reducing energy consumption, curbing clear logging, and eating less meat.
Global warming is a topic that is constantly disregarded because the issue seems to small and irrelevant. However, people do not realize that global warming is time sensitive. Over the last 30 years, there has been an average increase of 1.5 Fahrenheit per year. Global warming has significantly gotten worse often the past years and there seems to be little to no action to prevent global warming. Through the increase in carbon dioxide levels and deforestation, it is evident that global warming is affecting us dramatically, suggesting that if we do not take action soon, we will be unable to live in such living conditions.
Global warming has been a continuous controversy regarding whether humans are the primary cause for the destruction of our planet. By simply living, humans are contributing to the unceasing rise in temperature of the earth’s atmosphere predominantly created by the greenhouse effect. Greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, trap heat in the atmosphere. A mass amount of greenhouse gases develop from the burning of fossil fuels. However, deforestation, industrial processes and a few agricultural practices still transmit gases into the air. Climate scientists can agree that human activities add significantly to the levels of greenhouse gases, which is indeed the leading cause of global warming.
Global warming has become a major issue discussed over Medias and governments all over the world today. It is a problem that threatens the whole world because of the destructive impacts it can have on us humans and to the environment. Global warming is not a new phenomenon. It is often referred to as the gradual rise of the earths near surface temperature as a result of increased emissions of greenhouse gases from human activities. The green house gases are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen, ozone and water vapor, they act as a blanket that traps enough heat from the sun to warm the earth. This is the green house effect as it is essential to life, for without it the earth would be so cold and would be uninhabitable. If not enough are in the air then the earth would become cold, but if too many gases are released into the air, then we have the problem of things heating up. The releasing of green house gases by humans slowly warm the earth, potentially changing the world?s climate pattern causing sea levels to rise and more disastrous effects. Now that the causes and effects of global warming are known, there can be strategies done to minimize its causes and effects. To achieve this countries and individuals have to work together to fight global warming, agreements made at the Kyoto Protocol is to minimize burning of fossil fuels in world leading countries of greenhouse gas emission including the United States and China.
There are couple solutions for global warming, one solution is to decrease greenhouse gas emissions by doing so it can decrease the climate change we see today. "The planet can be cooled a whopping 0.5 degrees C with fast action to reduce air pollution from coal-fired power plants, gas fracking, diesel trucks and biomass burning, recent studies show." (Leahy, Stephen). However; some argue that taking action toward climate change in the United States will be expensive and harmful, however; this is a big issue that needs to be address as soon as possible. Unfortunately, claims that change the facts delay the appropriate evaluation of policy options. This can cause an expensive policymakers, procedures, and policies that can harm hardworking American families and causes little decrease of global carbon emissions. Obama administration 's decision has delay and perhaps deny, the Keystone XL pipeline which is a primary example. There are many interventions to slow down climate change. For example artificial trees which can imitator the photosynthesis of a real tree by being able to observe carbon dioxide out of the air. This is possible if Washington and other capitals will help spur the market for such carbon-capture technology. Carbon-capture technology should be further implemented in order to combat looming climate change and global warming. Global Warming is a condition caused by greenhouse gases and human activities. The increased concentration of greenhouse gases due to activities such as deforestation and fossil fuel burning is causing the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans to warm up. As a result of this, global warming has some serious effects in the shape of extreme weather, species extinctions, and rising sea levels. These effects can contribute to the changes that are taking place all over the world, most of which are dangerous enough to pose a threat to the survival of life on Earth in the future.
In recent years global warming has been on the rise. The importance of this issue is so that we as a nation can be aware of the drastic changes which are occurring rapidly around the world. Although there isn 't one set resolution to solve climate change, we must continue to carry out ways to put it to a halt. Some of the ways I believe we can cut this crisis is to stop polluting the manufacturing of toxic gases which is filling our environment with smog. If we all put our ideas and opinions in ways to prevent some causes of climate change, the world in which we live will be a better place. Instead of being a part of the problem we can be a part of the solution. Opposed to just humans, animals, and other species are affected as a result of
There needs to be a reduction if not extinction with the increasing amounts of carbon dioxide, methane, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), per-fluorocarbons (PFCs) and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere because it is directly affecting global warming. The combustion of fossil fuels and greenhouse emissions mainly contribute to the increase of these gases. The longer we go without solving this global problem the more conflicts we will have in the future. Although global warming does make the earth warmer there is more to worry about than heating to death. Major concerns revolve around effects on agriculture, water resources, ocean level and coastal regions, and disease. Many scientists and experimenters still disagree with global warming using excuses such as ‘primitive’ climate models, which predict global warming trends, can not accurately simulate the Earth; it is too difficult because there are thousands of variables to consider. With the issue of global warming alternative sources of energy are looked for. “Data indicates that hydrogen is [the] only suitable future fuel.” (Williams, 102). Many scientists agree, but how long will it take for us to get there?
Our planet has managed to survive and thrive for about 4.54 billion years. In the last 2 million years we have caused enough damage and destruction to make our world “broken” beyond repair. We will not be able to get back the world we once had. The reason behind this is global warming, specifically, the increase of the global temperature due to the burning of fossil fuels and the release of greenhouse gas emissions into our atmosphere. If we do not make the issue of global warming a priority in today`s society, our entire way of life will be at risk. There are many reasons why so many people believe global warming should be a concern. Thoroughly examined points include: scientific predictions, rising temperatures, human causes, drastic climate changes and animal adaptations. Though there are several points arguing how global warming should not be a concern, the reality of the matter is that it needs to be taken into consideration on a global scale before it is too late, as to do nothing would have devastating implications on humankind.
