There are many different views on whether global warming is actually real or not and possible catastrophic damage it causes. It is a big issue in politics now, everyone is arguing whether or not it is actually real or that it is just a weather pattern. People need to wake up and realize that it is real, just look at the shorter winters and the warmer weather. The Glaciers are melting, crazy weather patterns are happening, so what else could it be? We have more things to worry about as a government though.
There are all kinds of facts on whether or not Global Warming is real, but Its doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that the planet is warming. “The year 2012 ranked as the eighth-warmest year on record, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The ranking was based on global surface temperatures from January to November. All 10 of the warmest years on record have occurred since 1998. December 2012 was the 34th straight month with temperatures above their average in the 1900’s.” (Back In Time.) After reading something like this how can you not say that global warming is real, obviously the facts about it are there. People say that it isn't warming because of past weather patterns but in the last 15 years, the top 10 warmest years have been recorded and yeah maybe it is just a weather pattern, but in the pattern the temperatures are getting warmer.
“The temperatures on this planet have always fluctuated naturally on this planet. Looking back over the past 100 years, the earth warmed from 1900 to around 1940. There was global cooling after that until the late 1970’s.” (Scherer 20) The people who say this do not understand that there are weather patterns, but the pattern that is going on now...

...iously global warming is real. The people that say that is isn't real need to realize, the yes there are weather patterns, but when the patterns get to the warm parts of the pattern, they are gonna be warmer than they ever were before. Yes there will be stretches of cold weather but it wont ever be as cold or as long as it was before. So people need to realize, whether they like it or not, global warming is real.

Essay on Global Warming: Is it a Real Problem? - Think of a person riding downhill on a bicycle that has no brake on the wheels, and who knows that there is a large glass plate placed vertically somewhere across the way. The person is sensible enough to predict that if he continues to enjoy this ever accelerating ride, he is going to collide against the invisible glass plate in a short interval. But he is so deeply content on this ride that even after the knowledge of a certain accident ahead unless he jumps out of the bicycle, he is willing to go a bit farther for his personal fulfillment....   [tags: Environment, Global Warming, Carbon Dioxide] 2679 words

Global Warming is Real Essay example - Imagine the world in fifty to one hundred years. Because of global warming, it might not be the world most people would think. Many scientists and environmentalists talk on ways reverse global warming. Global warming causes the polar ice caps to melt, record high temperatures, and many other things. Global warming is starting to change the world in actuality, but humanity has no one but themselves to blame, as there are many ways to fight global warming in which benefit not only the environment, but the individual that helped support the cause....   [tags: Environment Environmentalism Climate Change] 653 words

Essay on Global Warming is Real - When thinking of global warming, one could picture a line of dominos. Imagine if someone had knocked over just one domino, what would happen to the rest of the dominos in the line. The others would follow. Global warming can be compared to dominos in that both cause a chain reaction. Carbon dioxide could very well represent the first domino since it is carbon dioxide that creates the blanket-like effect of CO2 in the atmosphere. This blanket effect sets the other dominos in motion. The main purpose of a blanket is to keep things warm....   [tags: Greenhouse Effect Climate Change] 769 words

What I'm about to tell you is real and will change your life forever-so wake up and smell the roses which are now blooming in winter. Global warming is one of the biggest threats to human kind. It is caused by the raising of earths temperature in the lower atmosphere. Pollution Essay: Global Warming is Real - There is a problem, one which we cannot ignore. We must recognize this as a first step in coming up with solutions and bringing about change. Still, there are entities masquerading behind false pretenses that cultivate climate skepticism. Climate skepticism is a propaganda which states that global warming is nothing but natural, and that the human race has nothing to do with it whatsoever. They try to prove using elaborate schemes that climate change is a scam, and discredit with bogus scientific findings those which are true and verifiable discoveries....   [tags: Climate Change Environment] 345 words

Global Warming is a Theory, Not a Fact Essay example - It's no surprise to most people that the idea of global warming is a highly controversial and debated topic. But is there any real evidence that global warming is a growing problem or is global warming just a big scare tactic being used to get people to comply with strict government regulations. Global warming is widely believed to be the main cause of rising average global temperatures. In reality, global warming isn't really all what it has been exaggerated to be. Many of the predicted effects of global warming over time have actually been proven to be false all together....   [tags: Global Warming Essay]

Humans Are Causing Global Warming Essay - In recent years, the controversial subject of global warming has been more predominantly brought to our attention. Is the threat of global warming real. Is it man-made or is this just a natural cycle of earth. Does it really affect earth’s inhabitants. Should action be taken against it. If so, what kind and to what extent. It cannot be only a coincidence that the alarmingly rapid climate change coincides perfectly with the increased amount of pollutants that humans release into the environment. The once stable climate has in recent years begun to skyrocket, thus altering the delicate structure of earthly life....   [tags: Global Warming Essay]

Global Warming Essay: The Kyoto Protocol - Introduction From man’s basic understanding of existence, he acknowledges that his presence is but a fraction in time in relation to the longevity of the Earth’s existence. This attests to the time period in which the Earth functions. Man’s calculations of year to year changes in the Earth’s atmosphere are meager at best in determining the cycle for such an entity. Man’s oldest data dating back from ice core samples from Antarctica can not trace back further than a minute percent of the history of the billions of years that the Earth has existed....   [tags: Global Warming] 1683 words

Global Warming Essay - Global Warming Global Warming is an important ecological issue and has many negative effects upon our environment. Global Warming, or what has been called the Greenhouse effect, is the result of a fourfold ecological process. 1-Sunlight radiates from the sun, through space, to Earth’s atmosphere. 2- The sunlight enters the atmosphere and hits Earth. Some of it turns into heat energy in the form of infrared light. The heat gets absorbed by surrounding air and land, which in turn makes it warm....   [tags: Environment Global Warming Climate Change]
