Ever since the dawn of humanity, groups of people have gone to war with each other over a countless number of reasons. Some of these reasons are political, some are religious, and some are just for profit. It is unfortunate that in this day and age war still exists. One of the most provocative and longest lasting conflicts going on today is the conflict between the nation of Israel and the Palestinians. Even the duration of this conflict is controversial, with some saying it started 70 years ago and others saying it goes back 2,000 years. With as much death and destruction that this conflict has caused in the Middle East, it is sad that so many people are so blinded by their own bias that they fail to see the solution to their struggle. If the Israelis and Palestinians came to a mutual agreement to share the land, peace could reign in the region. The Israelis and Palestinians should live together in peace because other nations are multicultural and at peace, war is a burden no people should have to endure, the conflict unintentionally affects the international community, and both Israelis and Palestinians are entitled to the land they both call home.
Throughout the world, most nations contain multiple ethnic groups and these groups are at peace with one another. In ancient times, it was nearly unheard of for people of various ethnic groups to live together peacefully. In our modern globalist world however, the borders between nations are becoming thinner. Nearly every nation has citizens or immigrants from all over the world. No nation does a better job at being a multicultural “melting pot” than the United States. In 2010, it was reported that at least 40% of the US population was born in another country. (Census) Found...
