Introduction:

According to the Harvard Business School working paper, titles Performance Persistence in Entrepreneurship, there are only an 18% chance for success for the first-time entrepreneurs and 20% chance for success for those entrepreneurs who previously failed. The chance of succeeding is quite low, but there still have many successful entrepreneurs who achieved global success in the 20th centuries. According to a website named biography.com, the most representative French fashion designer named Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel (19 August 1883 – 10 January 1971). She had a nickname “Coco”. She was the founder of the Chanel brand. Her famous scent, Chanel No.5 has been a lasting trademark. Refers to the website again, another booming British international businesswoman named Dame Anita Roddick. (23 October 1942 – 10 September 2007). She was the initiator of The Body Shop Company. Besides that, she was a human rights and environmental activist. The Body Shop had sold to L'Oreal Company in the year 2006. The common characteristics of Chanel and Roddick were creativity and a strong sense of purposes.

I. There are different ways of being creative. Steve jobs the founder of Apple had defined his creativity is just connecting things. While Charles Mingus, an influential musician said that creativity is more than just being different and also is making the awesome simple. Creativity is very important to start up a business until achieved the success. Surely that both Coco Chanel and Anita Roddick showed creativity in their career.

Coco Chanel played her creativity on her fashion design. She forever changed the way women dressed. She was the person who introduced modern day fashion to the world.

Most of the successful entrepreneurs share the common characteristics other than creativity and a strong sense of purpose like plan of attack, a network of support, risk takers, discipline and so on. Once you wish to be the next successful entrepreneur like Coco Chanel and Anita Roddick, you should possess those characteristics. Moreover, the moral values also very important in any business. Just like what Anita Roddick said business not only for self profit but also for others, for instance, environment good, and humanity care and animals concern. Last but not least, be confidence and never give up likewise Coco Chanel and Anita Roddick, you would able to attain the successes.
