World War, or the Great War as it has become to be called, was the first massive international conflict the Earth had seen. What began as a European conflict would eventually involve nations from around the world. New technologies and industries showed crueler and faster ways of decimating armies than ever before. Countries that were already on the verge of blowing each actually literally did it. It was the United States entry after three years of neutrality that would help end the war with an Ally victory. The end of the war would not come without a great cost to human life and the environment. The scars left by the Great War would be carried over for the next years and inevitably lead to World War II.
