Take a look at the back of a dollar bill. If someone looks closely at it, they will spot a pyramid with an eye on it. That is known as the “All Seeing Eye”(MacArthur 1). Some people know about the All Seeing Eye, but little did they know is that it is a Masonic symbol, that is associated with the Illuminati. Throughout time there has been many rumors and myths about the Illuminati, leaving everyone with the great question of who is the Illuminati and do they exist? Without evidence, as far as anyone knows they don’t; however there is history and evidence of their existence, which brings this secret society out of the dark and into the light.
Before anyone can truly understand the Illuminati, it is important to understand the actual definition of the Illuminati. According to unc.edu, the word Illuminati stands for one that is enlightened, or basically someone with great knowledge. This sounds all fine and dandy, but it is also important to know who created the Illuminati and who is the first person that had that great knowledge. On May first 1776, a German Professor named Adam Weishaupt founded the Illuminati. Their main goal was to “attain the highest possible degree of morality and virtue, and to lay the foundation for the reformation of the world by the association of good men to oppose the progress of moral evil”(Benjamin Bulford). In other words, Adam was tired of the government-ruling people and tired of people ruling people, which is why he created the Illuminati. Their basic goal was to enlighten people on ethics and overall educate people. All of that sounds magnificent on paper, but the hardest part about achieving those goals are, it would take along time, which Adam was fully aware of (Harding 1).

The Illuminati was apparently revealed on May 1rst, 1776, in Bulgaria, by Dr. Adam Weishaupt in Masonic Lodges, or Private Lodges. In these Masonic Lodges the Illuminati, full of highly revered politicians, business men and cult leaders would gather to sort out business. Weishaupt was a professor at the Canon Law at Ingolstad...
The Templar Knights, one of the most well-known orders of all times. Created to protect the Holy Land, the Templars “the army of God” would serve and die under God. They were fierce warriors who proved themself time and time again. They have truly set forth some of the most famous conspiracy theories in history. The Knights Templars would truly live up to be one of the most honored and well-known orders in history.
Another popular conspiracy theory contains the Illuminati society. The Order of the Illuminati was an Enlightenment-age secret society founded by university professor Adam Weishaupt on May 1, 1776, in Upper Bavaria, Germany. The movement consisted of advocates of freethought, secularism, liberalism, republicanism, and gender equality. In 1785, the order was infiltrated, broken up and suppressed by the government agents of Charles Theodore, However, there is no evidence that the Bavarian Illuminati survived its suppression in 1785 (“History of Beliefs”, 2006).
Throughout history, crime has existed in many different forms and has been committed by not only individuals, but by groups as well. Crime is something that knows no boundaries; it exists in all cultures, is committed by all races, and has existed in all time periods. Crime exists as a part of the economic institution and is a lifestyle for many people. Crime also exists in both organized and un organized forms. Since the early 1900's, "organized" crime has existed in the United States. The following will show where, when, and why the Mafia came to the United States, who organized it in the United States, and how it differed from its origins in the European mafia. By showing this you will see how this specific type of organized crime has In the ninth century, Arab forces occupied Sicily. The native Sicilians were oppressed and took refuge in the surrounding hills. The Sicilians formed a secret society to unite the natives against the Arab and Norman invaders. This secret society was called Mafia after the Arabic word for refuge. The society's intentions were to create a sense of family based on ancestry and Sicilian heritage. In the 1700's, pictures of a black hand were distributed to the wealthy. This was an unspoken request for an amount of money in return for protection. If the money was not paid, the recipients could expect violence such as kidnappings, bombings, and murder. By the nineteenth century, this society grew larger and more criminally oriented. In 1876, Mafia Don Rafael Palizzolo, ran for political office in Sicily. He forced the voters to vote for him under gunpoint. After being elected into office, he promoted Mafia Don Crispi as Prime Minister. Together the two put Sicily under government control and funneled government funds to the society known as the Mafia. In the 1800's, New Orleans was the largest Mafia site in the United States. It was while investigating the murder of an Italian immigrant that the current Police Chief, David Hennessey discovered the existence of this secret society. Police Chief Hennessey was assassinated before this murder case could go to trial. Twelve men were charged with this assassination but were lynched by a newly formed vigilante group. The Italian Ambassador demanded that the vigilantes be tried. President Harrison who disproved of the vigilantes and gave a large cash settlement to the families ...

Organized crime in the United States keeps the FBI and other law enforcement agencies in a never-ending investigation of criminals suspected of the infiltration of legitimate businesses. A notorious twentieth century organized group was the New England Patriarca Mafia, or N.E.P.M.. Originating in 1915, the N.E.P.M. evolved over the early twentieth century decades, until 1954 when Raymond Loredo Salvatore Patriarca was donned as boss* and promptly began to expand its power. Due to mafia-related language that will be present throughout the paper, a page of definitions is supplied at the end of the paper. Defined words throughout the paper will be noted with an asterisk, “ * ”.
The Illuminati has several different definitions. The Illuminati is described by Seth Payson as an institution whose “plan and object” was the “overthrow of all religion, and all government.” According to Websters Dictionary, “the Illuminati is a group of people who have or profess to have special intellectual or spiritual enlightenment.” It also states in another definition that “it is various societies, usually secret, composed of such people.” In Jesse Ventura’s documentary called Conspiracy Theory, Anthony Hilder explains how he believes the Illuminati is a secret organization that has ...

When people talk about the Illuminati, they are talking about the most secretive, powerful, wealthiest, influential, sneakiest, manipulated, greediest people on the earth. It was a group formed in Germany 1776 in order to rule the world with their wealth and power (“Illuminati” 1). Recently it has been on everyone’s mind, but why? It is being exposed more and more every day. They are trying to take over our nation. “The infamous Illuminati secret society has remained the focus of so-called ‘conspiracy theorists’ for hundreds of years. They have been called the puppet masters who secretly pull the strings of the world’s events from elections to revolutions, and from business monopolies to stock market crashes” (Dice 1). People are completely oblivious of the Illuminati or chose to not believe this is going on behind closed doors. However, there are some people who do believe and are aware of what they are capable of. The Illuminati is harmfully corrupting our nation through the government, specialty groups, and celebrities.
