Fast Food Among KPTM Students

The purpose of this research is to determine the level of acceptance and consumption of fast food among students in Kolej Poly-Tech Mara (KPTM). In addition, the aim of the study is to determine the level of knowledge of the respondents on the basic of food intake. Other than that, the purpose of research is want to know the different among gender taken the fast food. Students like to eat fast food as it is delicious , inexpensive, and fast to serve. They are also like to hang out with friends and sit at the fast food restaurant, for example Kentucky Fried Chiken Restaurant (KFC) and McDonald (Mcd) as the places are famous and comfortable with air-conditioning, and can access the internet, but they do not realize the dangerous of fast food to their health, so we are doing study on this topic to obtain some idea on the most popular fast food, the affect of fast food and the awareness level among the Kolej Poly-Tech Mara (KPTM) students.

1.1 BACKGRAOUND OF THE STUDY
Nowdays, fast food easy to find, at any area has fast food restaurant, it is because fast food is readily available in shops and restaurants. According to Dittmer and Griffin (1997) meaning of fast food is the food supplied in a small quantities and do not need waiting more time. When Scanlon (1993) said fast food more be fast in the fod supply immediately since 90’s in food services. Efficiency is one of the important factors but of the quality and users’ satisfaction (Drysdale, 1994).
In Malaysia, fast food restaurant evolve after 1970’s and turned to are well-known business in 1980’s. First introduced in this country in 50;s, the response was very encouraged because the menu offered by fast food restaurant is different compared eating nutrition community...
