Exotic animals are very hard to have as pets. No matter how much information the owner has about the animal, and they will never have enough to properly care for their pets. These animals are risks to the owners, the owners family and society if they ever get loose. The fear of one of these animals getting aggressive and lashing out; possibly killing their owner is heightened by their time pent in captivity. It is not recommended to have any of these animals as pets and to educate the future owners of these animals.
Monkeys
A baby monkey could be the closest living animal to a human baby. A future owner could possibly want a monkey because they are so similar to human infants. Both monkey and baby infants defecate unexpectedly and have tantrums. Monkeys and children have to wear diapers and they both get into everything. However, human babies have a moral conscience and eventually a child grows up; monkeys never do. Monkeys can hold tantrums for hours at a time without warning, and also have histories of biting their owners. They can transmit HEPA and HIV-1 through biting. The longer the primate stays in captivity the more at risk the owner's life because they get highly unpredictable and more aggressive.
The most popular monkey to have as a pet is a common marmoset. Since they cannot be separated from their families, and require very large enclosures both inside and outside. The marmoset needs to be fed a large variety of foods (fruits, vegetables, and live insects) during the day and if not they easily develop dietary related illnesses, which could lead to death. They can carry numerous diseases like internal parasites, and salmonella.
The second most popular monkey to have is a rhesus macaque. They are an invasive species...

...o keep up with the cost of feeding and entertaining a large cat. There basically has to be a butcher in the owners back yard because they can eat up to 50 pounds of meat a day. The owner has to mentally and physically a large cat for many hours of the day so it does not get bored and aggressive.
Wolves
Wolves are very independent, they eat, sleep, and play whenever they want to and are their own masters. They are too wild to live alongside humans because when they feel threatened, they attack. A full grown wolf can kill and full grown moose and it can sense the sickest animal in a herd without showing any symptoms. They can turn unnaturally aggressive or timid towards strangers, eve their owner. No matter how active the owner's lifestyle is, a wolf can run a minimum of 30 miles a day . They also consume a lot of raw meat throughout the day and need a balanced diet.
The second step shown in these monkey’s evolutionary progress is that now these animals appear to be goal oriented. Like mentioned previously, these monkeys had been working for themselves. They would do what ever they could to benefit themselves, get food, and have a nice place to sleep. Yet, once the changes begin and they have a leader, the monkeys begin to act as a group. They are more coordinated and it seems that their living style has changed from anarchy to monarchy. They attack a larger animal and kill it as a group. In turn, the raw meat is then split between the monkeys and everyone gets a share.

Our earliest ancestors are primates. They are our closest relatives which is why we can see our behavior’s and practices in them. If we observe them we can get a better understanding of them and us, human beings. But unfortunately we all don’t get the chance to see a Primate right in our backdoor. So the best thing I could do for my observation was to visit them at the zoo.
Primates, any placental mammal of the order Primates, normally having flexible hands and feet and, in the higher apes, a highly developed brain (“Primate”, 2016), have been one of the most popular animals and prominent attractions in zoos.
Apes, gibbons, monkeys, tarsiers, lemurs, and lorises make up the diverse and beautiful world of primates. We humans are primates, and there are more 300 species of primates in the world. The smallest primate is the pygmy mouse lemur, which can fit in the palm of your hand. The largest—the gorilla—can weigh more than 400 pounds. Almost every primate species is endangered, and the overhunting and forest devastation has brought some species to within a few dozen heads of final extinction.

A group of researchers in the Republic of the Congo have discovered an adventure of a lifetime with the finding of a type of African monkey thought to be extinct after not being seen in the wild after the 1970s. Now, they are sending back the first ever pictures of the Red Colobus monkey for the world to see.
In El Salvador, there are only 3 percent remaining natural forest and has the smallest amount of protection areas. The subspecies of monkeys are limited to the mainland of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. They are found living in the upper levels of the canopy and large areas of primary forests. The current status of Geoffroy’s Spider Monkey is endangered. Endangered due to logging and burning of the rainforests. They are hunted for food and pet trade by most humans and other jungle animals. They suffered from habitat destruction through deforestation and conversion to agricultural
Justin Bieber, Duck Dynasty, Breaking Bad, Gravity, and — yes — even Miley Cyrus twerking are all examples of what monkeys eat. Some good, some bad, some completely baffling. But all things that are making their way into a lot of people's thinking, and provoking all kinds of conversations that we might not have otherwise.
Not only the animals being owned but all the other animals in the wild, 19 species are predicted to go extinct by 2023, 8 of them is because of people owning exotic pets. Exotic pets are dieing because they are escaping from their cages and being killed by authorities. They are also dieing because they are committing suicide on themselves, this can happen when the animal gets so stressed of their daily life in a cage, there has been cases when animals hit themselves on the head using their cages wall. People buying exotic animals are not only affecting the animal (Pet) but are also affecting other animals in the wild. The food chains are collapsing, if an animal eats the animal that are barely in the wild because of people using them as exotic pets that wild animal might die because of the lack of food and and so on, therefore depopulating ecosystems. In the end this is a serious matter of animals going endangered and extinct that needs a

Viewing and observing primates at the zoo and using them as a research subject is crucial to help with the understanding of how humans came to be. Since humans and primates are onwards of 95% genetically similar (Why are Humans Primates), observing them is a great tool to better understand humans and the relationship we share with primates. Though some research done on primates has questioned the morality of such a thing, by not observing our closest ancestors, we would not have many of the answers about humans that we have today. Non-human primates can teach us many things about ourselves, from evolution,to behavioral and social characteristics.
