Choosing a career is something a person should really consider. It is one of the most important decisions a person has to make since it will influence the rest of your life. As of junior year of high school, I found myself struggling to make up my mind on which career I should pursue. Nursing is my first choice. However, while years went by, I discovered that I enjoy cooking and dreamed that I could be a famous chef and be able to go around the world to expand my knowledge of food. After hearing countless good reviews and experiencing the good service and outstanding food of Per Se, I am courageously applying for the position Executive Chef, in order to share my knowledge, characteristics, skills and talents.
I positively believe that I have the qualifications to be considered as the top candidate for this position. Because I enjoy cooking and wants to be a chef, it has also been my dream to be able to go around the world and learn different kinds of cuisines. And as for me, food is my ticket to go from one end of the world to the other end by means of cooking. Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, I learned perfectly how to prepare Mediterranean dishes, especially the famous shawarma and kababs. As well as being raised as a true Filipina, I was first taught how to serve Filipino dishes, especially their famous pansit, lumpia, and adobo. And migrating to California broadened my knowledge of food by preparing outstanding burgers, steaks and meat roasts. When it was time to head off to college, I was still unsure of what I wanted to pursue. As most college freshmen, I did not know what major best suits my personality.
