Evidence that Global Warming is Occuring

Throughout the last 650,000 years, the Earth has faced a change in its climate. There is evidence from the change in the Earth’s orbit and the extent of solar energy that it collects. It is because of Global Warming! Specifically, according to the chart below, carbon dioxide has never reached above 300 ppm for the last 650,000 years and currently as of the year 2013, we have exceeded that limit to almost 400 ppm (Evidence for Global Warming). What a drastic change! Another obvious answer that supports global warming is occurring is the increase in sea level, ocean temperatures, and humidity and the decrease in glaciers and snow cover. Temperatures of many bodies of water and air temperatures have increased over the past several decades and the only answer to this is…global warming!
There are both natural and human-generated causes for global warming. Natural causes are much less than human causes. Natural causes have changed the climate by changes in sunlight and volcanic activity has shown an increase in gases in the atmosphere. Humans cause global warming by burning fossil fuels. This is an everyday activity and it is harming the Earth’s atmosphere. Like I explained earlier, carbon dioxide in the Earth has increased dramatically and this is cause by burning fossil fuels which results in the Greenhouse Effect. Almost everything in the world consists of fossil fuels in some type of way. We burn fossil fuels when driving our car, powering machinery, using electricity, flying planes, etc. (Planet Save) I thought that the following chart was very interesting because it explains that the human causes of global warming are extremely higher than natural effects.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, this dec...

...are efforts to slow down the rate of global warming that are being implemented. Reducing the amount of fossil fuels we burn, reducing the amount of electricity an individual uses every day, and improving vehicle fuel efficiency are all efforts that are being implemented (Greg Seaman). For example, turning off light switches when you leave a room, car pull more often when traveling, or buying a more fuel efficient car would be three easy steps for an individual to take to slow down the rate of global warming. Energy conservationists can stress how individuals in the world need to reduce the amount of electricity they use, but that is the problem, many people do not change their habits and ignore these suggestions. The most effective effort people of the earth can do to slow down the rate of global warming is do reduce the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
