Hunger, thirst, no shelter, and fresh air are all things you need in order to survive yet so many countries around the world are struggling from not having these resources, including Rwanda. The country of Rwanda is suffering from overpopulation. There is such a huge population and since two thousand twelve approximately fifty one percent of that population are women which can only cause the amount of people in Rwanda to grow more (Population; Female (% of Total) in Rwanda). This is the greatest matter of contention in Rwanda because it is causing other complications off of it including hunger, poverty and disease additionally each year the death rate has traveled down and the birthrate is traveling up (Population; Female (% of Total) in Rwanda), (Kinzer, Stephen).

The concern of overpopulation in Rwanda has been in issue for a long time because the religion has stayed pretty consistent in the past couple decades which, affects the population (Kinzer, Stephen). Unfortunately, the genocide in nineteen ninety four took away around eight hundred thousand people yet the population is still too high for a country the size of Rwanda (Kinzer, Stephen). The reason there is still overpopulation after the genocide is because afterwards the people who weren't very well aware that there were too many people living in their country thought that they needed to make up for all of the people that they had lost and produce even more babies which soon evened out to the amount of people lost just a few years before.
