The word white supremacy is one that ties in everyone. It is a common word we can understand that has been a united experience. The country has started to separate one another based on our identities that build us up. The separation only collides with the inability to grow and prosper. When united we understand and have an experience that is still be continued this very day. White supremacy was the cause of this country to build on, off of decolonized culture. The indigenous people were the true founders of this land that was once theirs taken away. The struggle of adapting was challenging because as time passed their culture connection to their traditions and practices has been discontinued. The struggle of past memories. An individual who experiences these traumatizing experiences can damage their lives and there are programs that help build up their identity. The book states that souls are the damaged being. The experience of a damage soul limits one to grow and continue with their lives. It is similar to therapy and I appreciate this because self-health is important and several do not believe it is a health care. One who focuses on their thoughts and fixes them can grow. The Yakama Rising is an excellent book to using in Native American Experience. It ties in native culture in several aspects that must be brought up. The in-held class discussions are well formed that create this area of true understanding of decolonizing. It opens this perspective within an actual tribe that describe that actual of rebuilding their community. There is much we truly do not understand and this book taught me about culture growth. It is a long process that will take time, but in the end the community in the whole will be connected and create this well rounded structured
