World War I was the war to end all wars from 1914 to 1918. This made way to a wave of destruction and lots of bloodshed. There were many causes of the First World War and the war to use advanced weaponry and chemical warfare. During the war some soldiers suffered from shell shocked and depression. Nearly two-thirds of military deaths in W.W. 1 were in battle and caused by the Spanish flu before any battles started.

What is neutrality? Some say it is the state of not assisting or supporting either side of a conflict. They are right and here’s an example of a situation, the United States stayed neutral during most of the 1st world war because they had no beef with any of the other countries. Another reason for them staying out of it was that they were isolated too far from Europe so it took a while from time to time to hear anything about any wars beginning to happen. In 1916 a W.W. 1 cruise ship called the Lusitania sunk after being blown up by an attack from the Germans. Soon after that it became a symbol of brutal German aggression. Then, in 1917 a telegram called the Zimmerman was sent from German secretary Arthur Zimmerman – through German ambassador to Mexico proposing an alliance if in case Germany goes to war with America.
