If someone would ask what you’d like to do when you get older, how would you choose to answer? Most would answer with the chosen occupation that they are going to college for. And even though that is not the “wrong” answer, I have a slightly different one. I’d like to move to a bigger city, Philadelphia Pennsylvania to be more exact. When I tell people this, it kind of shocks them because where I live and where I’d like to live couldn’t be more opposite of each other with what seems like one single similarity. I live in Mermentau Louisiana. It's a small town on the side of a highway, with two stores, one restaurant and a small school. It’s a rather big city, a good thousand miles away from where I am now. Besides that, It has a different way of life. You can pass someone and not now their name, who their parents are, or what their story is. There’s always something new happening and something different to find out. It’s not like my small town, when the news of something travels what seems like faster than a rocket. The main reason why I’m even drawn to Philadelphia would be because it’s so different from what I’m used to. The main thing that Mermentau and Philadelphia have in common is the culture. But I’m not talking about the type of culture but the amount of it. It’s obvious that both these places don’t have the same culture.The food and events that take place in each place might be extremely different, however the food and the the events are part of the culture and the culture is what makes the city unique. Even though Philadelphia and Mermentau have a good bit of differences, the thing that they have the same, is sometimes the very thing that draws a person to the place. Both places have different atmospheres and different people. Even though they are very different, the amounts of culture found at each place is the same. The place where I live and the place where i want to live might be very much different but the thing that makes them the same is what makes them unique and special to the people that live
