According to Jeanne Kilbourne essay, Kilbourne talks about women being abused by men in visual advertisements and the consequences of those representations. I for one, argue with Kilbourne that women are being too exposed and hurt when they are in advertisements. So using Kilbourne 's analytical perspective and my own perspective we can give our insights on why we feel women are being treated badly and unequally from men with the following pictures. From the past till today women in advertisement pictures have been mostly victimized by men, and Kilbourne and I feel this sort of action needs to come to an end. And it seems to be that the woman is being sexually harassed by the men because they have more power than she has as well as more men standing in the background. The woman has no power and cannot do anything about it because she is too weak.These advertisements show how sexist they can be nowadays and that it is very bad from Kilbourne’s perspective. In Kilbourne 's essay, she says that “Men conquer and women ensnare, always with the essential aid of a product.” 491 Which basically means that the men conquer the women and the women are not dominant and they fall into the men 's trap which relates to the product they are advertising. From my insight about these advertisements is that I find it just so that these advertising companies can get the public 's attention but I have to admit it is very sexist how the men are just taking advantage of the woman just because they are more dominant than she is and the woman being weak and helpless. Kilbourne’s perspective is that no women should be treated like this and instead they should be treated fairly as the men are. Like not being abused and treated with respect. This picture depicts men are generally greater than a woman and they get what they want because they are greater than they are. Although this advertises nothing threatening it shows something very sexual and very pornograpahic which is the woman. Advertising this can attract many young adults to thinking they can be like her or want her if they do what she does. So the public can find these pictures very attractive because it gets their attention. Kilbourne 's perspective towards this was that she said, “The poses and postures of advertising of advertising are often borrowed from pornography, as are many of the themes, such as bondage, sadomasochism, and the sexual exploitation of children.” 492 Kilbourne is explain that the poses you see everyday is basically borrowed from pornographic people and it attracts many young children to look at them. It sets them up to look unique and attractive but the bad part is that it is related to the sexual part of a woman. The woman in the picture has many attributes that attracts people. Like having no clothes and lying in a sexual position which gets a lot of people 's attention. It exposes women and it makes them look much less dominant to men because they are an easy target. My personal perspective is that ending this sort of pleasure towards men in particular will make them less seductive to women or the other way
