I am going to critically review a newspaper article on the death of Hamzah Khan from Bradford. I will discuss the main findings the research methodology and the way in which it may or may not be useful in the contribution to our understanding of child welfare. A Calgary man named Nathan Paul Gervais is accused of murder and he is currently missing. One April 16, the police went to go and check on him, but he was not at his house and investigators have not been able to find him since. Gervais is missing and the police have issued Canada-wide warrants for his arrest. Gervais is twenty-one years old and is accused of killing a person named Lukas Strasser-Hird in November 2013. Nathan Paul Gervais is charged with first-degree murder and was supposed to be under twenty-four hour arrest while awaiting trial. Investigators said that Lukas Strasser-Hird was eighteen years old when he was killed. Strasser-Hird was found outside of a bar with many cuts and stabs. Also, the police believed that he was stomped.

Not to mention the fact that young men from Corrigan are still being drafted into the Vietnam war, causing great outrage towards the gooks in this town. The grandparents were charged and convicted of second degree murder and faces “22 and 20 year sentences, respectively” (The Canadian Press, 2014). The CCAS needs to step up their standards and screen everyone no matter the reason or cost. The CCAS failed to live up to their mandate and have now tarnished what it means to be an organization that helps children. All the people who could have stopped Jeffrey from dying should have come to police to tell them about the horrors occurring in Jeffrey’s home, should face consequences. Communities, government and most of all parents want to protect their children and with the new recommendations from the Coroner’s Jury, hopefully we will never hear of a case again, like that of Jeffrey Baldwin.

She was last seen leaving her job at a gas station and after this her friends and family went to social media to ask people if they had any information about where Maylin could be. Other than these posts on Instagram, Tumbler, and Facebook there was no news coverage about her disappearance. Sadly, Maylin’s body was found three day later in the Harlem River, she was only 20 years old; although she had been found dead there was still no news coverage about her (Blay, 2016). This morning October 8th 1965 at about 5:13 am the body of Bob Sheldon was found lying next to the park fountain he was seen to be in a pool of blood. Supposed eye witnesses say that a small boy who was a member of the "Greaser Gang" attacked and killed Bob and intended to kill the rest of them. Be on the lookout for the two boys with the description of one that has long light-brown hair, green eyes, and is about five feet tall and another has long jet-black hair, large black eyes, and is about four feet six inches. The first one is considered to be Ponyboy and the second one is considered to be Johnny. The two are now on the run they were last seen at a party with Dally. Investigators report that Dally says he has no idea where these two are but he thinks that they are going to Mexico.
