More people were killed, more nations got involved than any war before it. This war is being referred to is World War II. There are many examples of what happened during the war, these can be seen in Golding's Lord of the Flies. The characters in Golding’s Lord of the Flies mirror political leaders during World War II, as well as, the struggle of power among them.
Throughout the war, there were two major potencies. These potencies were the Axis Power and the Allis Power; both of these potencies can be seen in Lord of the Flies. Jack in the Lord of the Flies, who is the main antagonist, can conspicuously be seen as the Axis Power, moreover, as Adolf Hitler. Throughout Hitler's time, his mind started to become warped, and his execration for Jews began to increase. This can be visually perceived by Jack’s mind gradual becomes warped, and he becomes more primitive; along with his abhorrence for Ralph and Piggy. When Jacks mind starts to warp, and he became a symbol for the Axis Power, Ralph begins to symbolize the Allis Power. Even when it looked as if Jack was going to kill Ralph, Ralph still was able to resist and perpetuate to fight. Just like in the war, the Allis Power won over the Axis Power.
The chaos in Lord of the Flies can indubitably be seen in the book, as well as, in the movie adaptation of the book. The madness in the book version of Lord of the Flies, around the end of Lord of the Flies most of the boys hunted down one boy Ralph. While two of the boys, Simon and Piggy, end up getting killed throughout the story. The corruptness did not stop with in the book, in the movie adaptation of the book there was madness that occurred while the cameras were on and off. When they first started to film, the boys that...

There was many examples of how the characters made in their own way connections with authentic people in one of the most astronomically immense wars ever kenned to man, and the people that got caught up in their own desire for chaos and war ended up ascertaining the arduous way that their orchestrations would fall a component leaving them with nothing but hate. Some of them were even prosecuted as apostates. The Allis powered country’s boomed, this is like when Ralph was preserved all that the others endeavored for and spent much time on was all for nothing.

In his novel Lord of the Flies, William Golding describes Jack as someone who promotes unity, someone who is skilled at manipulating people, and someone who idolizes violent actions. Jack has a lot in common with the World War II German dictator, Adolf Hitler, who had also demonstrated desires for unity, the manipulation of others and increased violence. All these similarities between them led to them destroying their society.

Jack Merridew is the devil-like figure in the story, Lord of the Flies. Jack is wicked in nature having no feelings for any living creature. His appearance and behavior intimidates the others from their first encounter. The leading savage, Jack leans more towards hunting and killing and is the main reason behind the splitting of the boys. It has been said that Jack represents the evilness of human nature; but in the end, Jack is almost a hero. With his totalitarian leadership, he was able to organize the group of boys into a useful and productive society
English author William Gerald Golding wrote Lord of the flies as his first novel in 1954. Golding would later become famous as a novelist, playwright, and poet, yet before Lord of the flies publishers had rejected his works many times. Fortunately for Golding and future readers, his new editor Charles Monteith helped him to make some changes to the text and publish the book in September 1954 as Lord of the Flies (“William Golding” par.7). This book became hugely successful, and in 1983 Golding was awarded for it a Nobel Prize in Literature ("William Golding - Prize Presentation" par.1).
The author, William Golding uses the main characters of Ralph, Jack, and Simon in The Lord of the Flies to portray how their desire for leadership, combined with lack of compromise leads to the fall of their society. This desire for leadership and compromise led to the fall of their society just like multiple countries during times of wars.
The irony of the plane crashing to start the story, the environment of an unknown island and many other cruel acts function into the work as a whole because it really does set up the major plot in the story. Cruelty will bring out the worst in people and this phrase proves to be true when it comes to Jack. The killing of the pig and the obsession of blood lust drives Jack into savagery and reveals that he is not morally strong. The violence also shows that Jack is manipulative as he uses the fear of the beast to gain power. While cruelty transforms Jack, Ralph stays morally strong and represents civilization throughout the novel. Cruelty proves to shows that Ralph’s character is very intelligent as he is able to think deeply. Cruelty also reveals how strong morally he is and how he will not succumb to savagery like the majority of the boys do. Lord of the Flies by William Golding, just proves to show that the cruelness of our savage, beast like instincts will take over without the order, rule, and conduct that civilized societies have to
World War 2 was a war that lasted from the 1st of September 1939 to the 2nd of September 1945. That’s 2 years longer than the first war. This war was started by Nazi Germany when they invaded Poland. This was the largest conflict in history that impacted every inch of the earth, including Canada.
World War II, known as the largest armed conflict in history, began in Europe in the 1930s and led to effect many people. The war resulted in not only the involvement of more countries than any other war but also introduced powerful, new, nuclear weapons that also contributed to the most deaths. As Hitler rose to power in 1933 the Holocaust began, his quest for the ‘perfect’ race resulted in the use of concentration camps, which would help to create the largest genocide of people in history.
Over millions of years, man has transformed from a savage, simple creature to a highly developed, complex, and civil being. In Lord of the Flies, the author William Golding shows how under certain circumstances, man can become savage. During nuclear war, a group of British schoolboys crash land on an uninhabited island to escape. Ralph the elected leader, along with Piggy and Simon, tries to maintain civilization, while Jack and his group of choir boys turned hunters slowly become savages obsessed with killing. Through characters’ action and dialogue, Golding illustrates the transformation of civil schoolboys into bloodthirsty savages.
World War 1 was called “The Great War”, “The war to end all wars”, and “The first modern war”. It had many causes and a few repercussions and I will describe them in detail.
Throughout William Golding's novel Lord of the Flies there is an ever-present conflict between two characters. Ralph's character combines common sense with a strong desire for civilized life. Jack, however, is an antagonist with savage instincts, which he cannot control. Ralph's goals to achieve a team unit with organization are destroyed by Jack's actions and words that are openly displayed to the boys. The two leaders try to convince the boys that their way of survival is correct.

Ralph and Jack are both powerful and meaningful characters in William Golding's novel, Lord of the Flies. Ralph is an excellent leader; responsible, and stands for all that is good. Jack is a destructive hunter, selfish, and represents evil. These two main characters can be compared by the actions they take as leaders, their personalities, and what they symbolize in the story.
