With the help of science and determination, they successfully created the first flying powered plane. This event gave others the momentum for even greater plane making.On April 16, 1867 near Millville, Indiana, Wilbur Wright was born to a family of five children. His father, Milton Wright, was a bishop and his mother was Susan Catherine Koerner. Growing up, Wilbur was very close to his younger brother, Orville Wright.
