Practicing the religion of Wicca is still overlooked in the 21st-century. There is a stigma involving witchcraft that revolves around magic, which is false because Wicca is a religion that people stand by to follow a set of rules. These regulations consist of knowing what can be or cannot be done. Since people tend to think witchcraft is magic, one associates the religion with technology. Wicca and technology are two different subjects. The origin of technology is only science. There was never a connection found between witchcraft and technology. Wicca has its own benefits, and that is the reason people still practice the religion. To overcome their problem witches uses what they call "magick." The difference between what magic, what people are familiar with, and "magick' is that magic is a form of conjuring to entertain an audience. "Finally, Wiccans practice magick in an attempt to manipulate the natural world and alter mental and material conditions. As such, Wicca is an esoteric occult practice designed to manipulate reality in concert with the Wiccan’s will."("Wicca Religion"). The point the article is trying to make is that witches use magick as a way to manipulate their current situation to find the best outcome. In this way, they have a source of hope to rely on upon through their religion. In other words, Wiccans want to keep an understanding of what is happening around them, so they praise the natural world. On the other hand, technology does not have any spiritual connection. Through nature, witches use herbs to be able to treat the sick. They hold ceremonies where they can induce potions made from the root. These gatherings are significant as described "In all Wiccan/nature religions there is a presumed cause-and-effect relationship between the ritual or ceremony performed and the obtaining of the power of healing or other blessing sought. The whole idea of pagan ceremonies — the rites of the shaman or witch, the burning of candles, the making of potion."(Geisler). The article explains the basic fundamentals of these rituals. Within Wicca, there is a constant connection between one as an individual and the religion. As for technology, everything is scientific and manufactured. The way in which technology helps the sick is through machines and prescribed drugs. When one is sick, it is not unusual for them to visit their doctors. These doctors use vaccines made from mechanisms to fight viruses within the person's body. When they do not give them a vaccine, they prescribe drugs. The flaw with this method is that there are multiple side effects. These side effects make people feel even worse. "There are a lot of people taking drugs to treat the side effects of drugs...But when you're taking a drug to treat the side effect of a drug which is treating the side effect of another drug, it gets to be rather a house of cards."(Schiff) Technology is not always the right
