Argumentative Essay Since the beginning of the 21st century, schools have been trying to integrate technology with the way they teach their students. Schools have been making students use tools such as canvas, esembler, and theMIND. In the past decade, there has been the creation of online classes. Students now are able to take classes that are offered not in their school or take an extra class over the summer. Questions arose around the legitimacy of online classes. Are students challenged by online classes? Are students able to cheat easily? Are students trying on online classes? Online classes are not a legit way to measure students ability to learn that subject. With the signing of the Digital Learning Act on June 2, 2011 by Rick Scott, high school students were forced to take online classes in order to graduate from high school. Students who attend school in Florida must take at least one year of a course online. With the ability of the student to take the course at their home, they are able to cheat easily with the use of search engines, friends, and books. David L. Jaffe connected the fact that with the advancement of technology, “cheating among high school students has [increased] during the past 50 years.”. The more school integrate technology with the way they teach, the easier it is for students to cheat. Do we really want students to cheat rather than work earnestly? The next generation will become lazy because all the answers are just a click away. With the use of online classes, students have the ability to easily increase their GPA.
