Why We Should Have Seatbelt On School Buses

I believe that school buses should have seat belts, because it’s unsafe to drive with 71 children on a moving vehicle without them wearing seat belts. Children who are strapped in their seats are more likely to remain safe in case there is a collision. In case of a collision, the children who do not have their seatbelt on then they will be slammed into the seat in front of them. Students on school buses have a tendency to hop from seat to seat when the bus in in movement. That is a dissection to the driver, which can cause an accident to happen. To where if children have seat belts on than hopping from seat to seat can be reduced. I think that seatbelts on school buses can reduce bad behavior on the bus, because when they are strapped down then they can’t get out from their seat. There are two sides for this suichawation. The NEA asked Many bus drives and they are concerned, “Students can and do use the heavy belt buckles as weapons, injuring other riders. It’s somewhat impossible to make sure that all students keep their belts properly fastened, again so that they are not injured by the belts in an accident. If a bus has to be evacuated in an emergency, such as a fire, panicked or disoriented students might be trapped by their belts, and they might need assistances from the bus driver.” Even though that might happen it’s most likely not going to, of course there is a chance for it though. Bus drivers must care for up to 50-70 student at a time, while maneuvering a large vehicle, contending with traffic, bad weather, and adverse road conditions.
