I don’t think rome was destined to fall because there were many ways that people could have used to resolve the issues during the years that it took for Rome to fail. Rome was run by Emperors for thousands of years. The Roman Empire had many rulers , some ruled for a long time and had great followings. The people of the early Roman Empire were dedicated to their beliefs and worshiped the Emperor's every word.

Looking back, the causes of Rome’s decline can be separated into four categories, social, economic, military, and political. The social aspects of Rome’s fall are the rise of christianity and civil wars. The rise of christianity displaced Rome’s polytheistic roots which viewed the emperor as having a godly status. Pope and church leaders took an increased role in political affairs which further complicated governance. Civil wars also deteriorated the empire. The Roman empire was a very large and successful empire, although like many things it had to come to an end. The three primary reasons that had most contributed to Rome's fall is foreign invasions, military weakness , and weak leadership.

Slaves was considered legally to be a piece of property without their own freedom. In ancient Roman, people called their slaves as the “Speaking Tools” . Slaves did not treat as a human beings with legal citizen rights. They sold as products to the market and valued by their demographic characteristics including age, gender, personal skills, ethnic,manner, appearance, and personality. The lives of slaves conspicuously harsh by their tough works and cruel tortures from their inconsidered masters. The more brutal oppression of masters, the more intense of slave revolt, and finally to cause the massive revolt in Roman.
Rome was once one of the world's greatest empire until around 200 BCE when Rome started to crumble. The Fall of Rome did not happen suddenly, it took about 1100 years to take place. The first two centuries as an empire were named the "Pax Romana", which meant the time of Roman peace. The Romans were living the life, without a worry in the world. So how and why did Rome start to collapse, if the empire was was doing so grand and magnificent? To answer that question, the primary reasons that Rome started to decline were that the Romans had difficulty with their government which caused social problems/decay, their military was falling behind on their duties and became indolent, and natural disasters.

The Roman Republic began in 509 B.C.E. with the overthrow of the Etruscan monarchy. In 27 B.C.E the Roman Empire began with Octavian Caesar becoming the emperor, this ended almost 500 years of republican self-government. There is much debate over why Rome became so powerful so quickly. Many think it had to do with Rome’s military strength. Others think that it was because Rome knew of and controlled most of the trade routes. Still others believed it had to do with the technology that was advanced during the Roman Republic. All of these factors played significant roles, but which one played the most important role?

Part II: Ancient Roman authors described the slavery in ancient Rome to be very brutal, consisting of severe forms of verbal and physical abuse. Slaves were beaten, whipped, and forced to work for their masters without the fair amount of clothes, food, and tools. Plautus is a Roman screenwriter, and he wrote the play “The Conduct and Treatment of Slaves” to educate the audience on how slaves were treated by their masters during the end of the Second Punic War which took place during 201 B.C. Plautus starts the play off by introducing a brutal slave owner named Ballio, who treats the slaves very unfairly by beating and whipping them and also verbally abusing them. “Never did I see men more like asses than you!” (1), is just one example
