One reason why Huck Finn should not be banned is because it shows great themes such as friend ship, freedom, and many others. After Huck's and Jim's argument about Louis the 16th, they talked about the Ohio river. “ were the Ohio River comes in, and that was what we was after. We would sell the raft and get on a steamboat and go way up the Ohio among the free states, and then be out of trouble.”(Twain 96). The quote explaining that there goal is to get to the free states so that Jim would be free of slavery and no one would try to civilize Huck. The point is that the book could teach what freedom is. It could inspire readers/ people to try and achieve that freedom. Another example of a great theme is when Jim was getting all happy for Cairo
