As a teacher I believe that the most effective way to teach children is teaching through play and example by using pictures and gestures. Children are motivated to learn when they have opportunities to make choices in an environment that are inspiring and stimulating. Children are interested from infancy and have a desire to learn from their environment and those around them. When children are encouraged to interact with their peers and adults in positive ways, they feel safe to explore their surroundings. Using creativity in the classroom will create strong students and help better them for the future. Now, students are just being taught to what is on the test. They do not learn how to be leaders, how to work in groups, people skills, or how to use their mind that is not just for memorizing the information. “The challenge now is to transform education systems into something better suited to the real needs of the 21st century. At the heart of this transformation there has to be a radically different view of human intelligence and of creativity” (Robinson K., 2011, p. 14). Using creativity and technology will allow the students to enjoy learning more. I noticed in my final project, that other students who weren’t education majors, saw this problem too. Many of them did not see creativity in a classroom, they felt that the school system was creating them into robots that taught them all how to think a certain way. I prefer to help children play creatively because it helps them learn different things in life. When they learn something new and they like it, they don't want to give it up. They should have a full day of activities to keep there minds occupied and to learn to have fun with other peers. It is also good for children to be thereselfs and learn some things on there own and still be watched.
I believe children should play creative because when the child gets older they will have better comunacation skills, problem sloving skills, and be able to handle real world situations better. When children are put into organized activitys they often don't get to express themselfs as they should, and they often get put in situations that the child doesn't want to be in. All children should be able to express themselfs in a manner they want to not how they are told to act. If a child has creative play time with other children when they become older it'll be easier for themto express themselfs to others and not feel so shy to show emotion towards others.
Integrating arts with other subjects is very important because using art can help students become more engaged in the subjects, embrace their learning and retain knowledge. Art allows children to learn and have fun at the same time. By having arts as a subject child can develop their physical, cognitive, linguistic, social and emotional domains. For example, in a math class, students are learning fractions by examining the composition in Warhol's Campbell's soup paintings. Children are able to enthusiastically participate in the learning process and have fun at the same time. This is further proof of how children can learn and have fun at the same time. Arts can engage children and help them to remember the concepts better.
I feel that the quote “Children Who CREATE Will Not Destroy” is true. If kids learn from a young age to be creative and be them self will be more happy and less self destructive or just destructive in general. The current school places the art lower than the subject such as dance, art, music, and others. They are told their art, or dance ability won't help them in the world. They are told it will not earn them a job that will help them live. The school system should be altered to allow more creation. These are reason why I feel that that kids who create will not destroy. Kids should be able to be who they want to be instead of who they have to be. Rather that exclude the arts and focus more on on mathematics and sciences or do the vise versa,

Not only can art help improve a kids education over all, having it taught as a regular part of the curriculum helps children learn to express themselves in a way that is safe and promotes problem solving. Art Education is not always valued in school settings. Although some may see it as an unnecessary use of school funding, there are many who believe it is beneficial to students in more ways than one. There are many different studies that have been conducted to test the effects that art education has on school-aged children. Some studies have proven that art education can help students to improve in other academic areas. In a journal article from Ohio State University’s “Theory in Practice,” Karen A Hamblen states, “There are linkages between art learning and learning in other subjects areas and that art study can promote creative behaviors, critical thinking skills, and academic achievement.” It has also been found that the arts can teach children better self-regulatory strategies, and even foster more confidence and self-efficacy in school which relates to confidence in academics. Overall, art education in schools has been very beneficial and has proven to ignite creativity, confidence, critical thinking skills, and academic achievement in students.
Art is always part of everyday life, but some see it as just a hobby that shouldn’t be required for schools to teach children. Some schools have taken away the teachings of art, but the effect of art on children is proven to have many benefits on their learning and brain. At a young age every children should participate in art, helping develop skills to the highest, even strengthening skills already being taught in schools. The practice and influence on children is a positive and beneficial to growing kids.
The points are made and that’s that. Art needs to be in school, because kids learn from it. They learn how colors contrast, and feel vibrant. They are learning how to express themselves in a new way. The one thing that people don’t get about art, it’s not just painting, building, and drawing. There many other forms of art, such as writing. The school board wouldn’t think about taking away the english classes, or the creative writing classes. In all honesty some of the basic subjects that kids learn are art, whether it’s painting, writing, the mixing of chemicals, it’s all art. Student’s find a love for the art that is set up in the school, and some of them could care less, about what student drew what. The point is that art is not just an elective in school it’s a lifestyle that everyone learns. They learn how to decorate a house, make explosions, and many other incredible things. Art has been to be a part of human culture for an estimated 40,800 years; why cut out of schools what has been with us for so long? Art is a form expressive freedom, an outlet to allow creative ideas to form and be expressed, seen, or heard. Children at a young age need a creative outlet to express themselves, to allow themselves to grow. Cutting children off access from art could lead to poor self-esteem and creative conflicts for future development of the youth. Denying students at school art classes is the same as denying freedom of expression in a public society. Art classes should be supported by the school(s) local communities because the course is now endanger of being cut all together.
Creative Arts in early childhood education refers to children’s participation in a variety of activities that engage their minds, bodies and senses (Sinclair, Jeanneret & O’Toole, 2012; Kearns, 2017); to inspire all children with the opportunity for creative and imaginative expression.
