Due to people not having adequate access to water many people in third world countries have a greater risk of getting sick easier. Providing access to clean water could improve health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental sustainability.
Why is it important to have access to clean water? Well water is fundamental to humans, animals, and plants. In fact each person 20 to 50 liters of clean water a day for drinking, cooking, and other purposes. It lowers the chance of getting sick or wort, die.

Diarrhoeal is actually the second leading cause of deaths in children under five years of age due to malnutrition and drinking water that is not clean.
In many developing nations most water consumption takes place outside of homes. Women in Africa and Asia have to walk 3.7 miles to collect water because safe water is hard to find. In some cases their only water source is contaminated and have no other choice.
Providing access to clean water could also improve safety. It would improve safety because many people would then be able to use the water in different ways without having to worry about it being contaminated or getting sick because of the water. They can then use it to clean wounds and it would be much safer since it wouldn't be contaminated and they would have access to it.
Not only would providing access to clean water improve health and be safer but it could also improve the wellbeing of the people. If more and more people had access to edible water then they would be healthy, safe, and the people would be great. Then it would also decrease the death or illness
