A good or bad thing?
Have you ever wondered when mankind started creating all these inventions and methods that make our life a whole lot easier? Well if so then you’d like to know about the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution was a time period where people started inventing new ways to go from one place to another, and they improved the medical care, and they improved their economy. But the people didn’t just do great things for the human race but they also put the world in a very bad condition. I think that the Industrial Revolution was a bad thing. Not only has the life expectancy increased but so has the amount of people on the planet, a.k.a “World Population”. The world’s population has gone from about 1 million to about 6 ½ million. These changes were due to the fact that” less people were dying of famine & disease. The agricultural revolution brought more food to the people at a cheaper cost, and this lead many people to leave life as a farmer and go to work in the city and in factories.” (source 3) I know that these changes sound very beneficial, but the problem is since there are more people and they’re expected to live longer then that means that they’ll have to use more & more resources and eventually they’ll run out. Transportation is no doubt one of the most important factors in the world. “In the early 1800’s, high pressure steamed engines had become compact enough to move beyond the factory, prompting the first steam-powered locomotive to hit the rails in Britain in 1804. For the first time in history goods were transported over land by something other than the muscles of man or animal. The United states was the pioneer in shipping, putting a passenger steamship on the water in 1807.
