Rome vs. Greece! Which empire was better and why? This essay will talk about the differences and similarities of Greece and Rome and which empire I chose. My research has led to my opinion that Rome had the upper hand in Government, economy and religion. To begin with, Rome had the better government. First ruled by the Etruscans, Rome learned Greek stuff like architecture and mythology. They rebelled and became a republic ruled by chiefs called consuls. As the empire grew, conflict grew between the the rich and the lower class. More slaves meant more tax which made the rich richer and the lower class poorer.
