I will start my paper by stating my personal opinion on rape and that no matter what the case is rape is always wrong. I totally disagree with any situation that takes the category of this crime. I have seen and heard of to many cases that had occurred and ruins someone’s life. But in a sense I can say that there are situations where one may say someone is lying about what really had occurred the time of an incent dent. In today’s world our president Barrack Obama says 20 percent of our woman has faced rape or an attempt. That’s huge part of our woman in our country today. Eight-teen percent takes place in a public area, such as a commercial venue, parking lot, or a park. Why do people commit rape? Some may not be in their right state of mind when committing this crime. Statistics shows one in three sexual assaults, perpetrator was intoxicated. Thirty percent with alcohol and four percent with drugs. The suspect and the victim quite often never have an understanding of what’s going on. An eight-teen year old girl who renames anonymous had went on a date with a young man and upon this date after dark when he invited to his house he took their foreplay as a invitation to have sex, and that right there is rape with no questions ask. Only because it’s done without out her consent. Some may argue that no other crime is handle more poorly by the criminal justice system than rape. The vast majority of rape victims, in fact, never do report to police. And of those cases that are reported, the prosecution rate is lower than for any other serious crime. In no other crime is your skillful advocacy more needed, and in no other crime are your advocacy skills more
