Have you ever wanted to fight for your life and risk dying to win huge prizes that will keep you happy your whole life. Well that is the Hunger Games is what the hunger games is. There are 12 teams and split up into districts. A girl named Katniss Everdeen who is apart of district 12 fights for her life by competing in The Hunger Games. Every citizen must watch as the youths fight to the death until only one remains.

There are many characters in The Hunger games, but let’s talk about some of the important characters. Katniss Everdeen is 16-year-old girl and lives in District 12 in the capital. Katniss has brown eyes and hair. She is the main provider for her family and acts much more mature than she should for her age. She is brave because she risked her life to give for her family and exchange herself to take part in the Hunger Games instead of Prim so she wouldn’t die. Katniss is also kind because she does things to risk her life and sacrifice for others in her life especially Prim and Peeta in many situations. She is not like a realistic character because she lives in a district in sectors and the capital is high-tech but they are poor. Peeta is a 16-year-old male with blonde hair,blue eyes, and has a stocky like body shape. He lives in District 12 like Katniss and is a baker like his father. Peeta has been in love with Katniss since the first day of school. Peeta has the trait of romance and willingness for trying to sacrifice himself for her. Another example of that is before the games started he took a beating to protect Katniss from being hurt. One more example is when the bakery burnt two pieces of bread and Katniss was starving and Peeta gave her the burnt bread they couldn’t
