In some people’s perspective, the Harry Potter Series is a wicked influence on youth because of the use of magic leading to Satanism. Not only that it is said that some kids after reading or watching the Harry Potter series, gives them bad dreams. Harry Potter teaches that, even if you had all the power in the world, it is better to do the hard right, rather than easy wrong. What does this phrase mean? The answer is that it's human nature. Sometimes people simply have to learn a lesson the hard way. Sometimes it doesn't matter what kind of evidence is shown that proves the choice they are making will end badly. This is particularly true of children, youths and young adults. People can think that Rowling establishes a distinction between good and evil, even if the criteria defining both extremes are not clearly stated. From Harry's actions in the series, goodness/heroism requires the courage to be good in spite of the temptation of evil. Goodness is very often difficult and requires the ethical action excellence (sacrifice). In the Harry Potter series “Sorcerer’s Stone”, Harry and Ron went into the ladies restroom to help Hermine fight off a vicious troll even though they weren’t allowed in the ladies restroom. They knew they would get in some sort of trouble.
