Canadian history says a lot about what Canada is today. Like how it got its name which comes from a Huron-Iroquois word “kanata,” meaning “village” or “settlement.” You may not know much about Canada, but yet you may know lots, but did you know that Canada’s lowest temperature recorded is as cold as Mars? Or that Canada has the largest coastline in the world? Canada’s culture has many influences because the numerous people who immigrate here are encouraged to keep their culture. These immigrants also teach the people they meet when they move here about their own ways of life. Canada is one of two countries located in North America and is the second largest country in the world with Russia beating Canada by 7.115 million km². The total area of Canada is 9,976,149 km2 but breaking it down to just land area is 9,093,507km2., the water in Canada is 891,163km2. Canada is bordered by 3 oceans, the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific oceans. It is situated just north of the United States and establishes the northern part of the country, excluding Alaska. Human Rights are the laws, customs, and practices that have been evolved over the centuries to protect ordinary people from oppressive rulers and governments. Human Rights are as old as human civilization, but their use and relevance have been well defined during the recent years.
