Your heart is beating, he is running as fast as we could, and the next thing you know: TOUCHDOWN! When someone does something that defines who an American is, it should be historically and culturally significant to America, and it should also be patriotic towards America and unify the Americas socially. From this, the most American thing someone can do is watching an American football game on television and rooting for their team.
American football has always been a part of history and culture in America, and watching American football has defined who an American is today. First, Americans have always had a love in competitive sports, and their desire to win is part of the history in America. For example, their value of western expansionism in the early 19th century was their ambition and the desire to become big and win over other countries, and the space race against the Soviet Union was a race of will and determination to become technologically advanced in space exploration at the brink of the Cold War. First, it is important to note that the United States is virtually one of only a few countries that play the game of American football. Furthermore, American football originated from the United States, and therefore, supporting a team would be a sign for patriotism to the country. Not only that, it also symbolizes the unity of the people in America. Whether they know each other or not, there is something common for the fans of a specific team, and it helps them form relations. In fact, sports has helped me make new friends too. For example, when I was younger, i made new friends with the people in my soccer team, and since it was a common interest for everyone, it was easy to bond and have something to talk about.
