Why do you hope to intern at the White House? * I want to intern at the White house for three reasons. First I would like to gain insight into foreign policy. As an undergraduate, I have been extremely fascinated with foreign policy especially with regards to China. In a rapidly globalizing world, I recognize the importance that innovative, intelligent foreign policy plays in ensuring our safety and the American way of life. I may not have had much experience in foreign policy on the ground, but I am passionate and willing to work hard and learn as I go. Second, I would like to gain more legal experience before I attend law school in the Fall of 2019. The Office of White House Counsel was recommended to me by an AUSA during my internship with the U.S. Attorney’s office. Finally, I want to make a positive change in the everyday lives of Americans. This administration is moving forward and achieving promises they set out on the campaign trail, and I want to be a part of that team. What are your short-term career goals? In what way(s) do you believe a White House internship would impact these goals? * …show more content…
I believe this internship will positively impact these goals by furthering my understanding of the law on a much grander scale. I recently worked with the Department of Justice and received experience on a more state scale, but I believe the White House Internship will help me gain international legal experience. I also believe that the White House internship will further my Public Policy goals by allowing me to gain insight into the federal legislative body. I will get to witness first hand policy being passed through both houses of Congress and signed by the President and the work it takes to get actual legislature

As a political science major Washington DC or something related to it usually comes out in classes. It has been a personal dream to go visit, but it has become a recent aspiration to go and work there. In any field, it can be difficult to get a job to jumpstart one’s career. The “real world” is known as after college for most people. For the post college reality, I have been trying to make it as painless as possible, but at the same time have it reach its full potential success wise. The reasons that I am interested in the DC internship, are that it would be a great experience, it would help me develop new skills, and it would be the perfect start for my career.
Most recently, I am anticipating starting an internship with the National Eating Disorder Association as a crisis helpline volunteer. This will give me the opportunity to work with new age groups that I have not previously had a chance to get experience working

What is the purpose of a college education? college education is as important as high school education. Everyone should attend college. Student who are graduating from high school should not be wondering if weather they should attend college or not. I do understand that everyone has a different goal and a different point of view, but still college education is extremely important for many different reasons. higher education is important for so many reasons and some of them are, better future, involved with community, and be more knowledgeable.
Which in turn would give me the opportunity to focus on social/institutional change on issues such as youth homelessness. I would be interested in being able to better collaborate with other fields such as education. I would be able to provide resources and services to at risk students in the classroom along with providing outside services. I plan to address youth homelessness the best way I possibly can. That includes, researching the various organizations throughout the city that aim to help homeless youth, conducting and researching data, mentoring homeless youth, participating in community outreach, and actively attending programs that target to end youth homelessness and creating prevention or early intervention services in hopes that it may help someone avoid homelessness. I would work towards finding solutions; according to The National Alliance to End Homelessness (n.d) there are several solutions on how we can all address this issue. To create prevention programs, I would address the underlying causes for youth homelessness, providing crisis and early intervention programs that will provide support to those who have recently become unaccompanied youth, work with shelters, and find the best resources so that no youth has to spend a night on the streets to fend for themselves. Providing and being aware of all long term housing services is something I would focus on as well, this will provide support and resources for youth that have no where to live, especially to those that cannot return home. It is important that these services are accessible to youth that need help and are widely available everywhere in the country, which is what I will work to do, seek every option and collaborate with other social workers, lawmakers, and the
For US Social Impact, I think I offer a lot of perspectives and will be able to properly examine the impact and present ways to increase the impact within the country. Public Relations is all about image. When I think of Sesame Street, I think of representation. If selected as the Public Relations intern, I’ll make it my greatest to put representation on the forefront in any publicity project I work on. Lastly, for Media and Publishing, I think it’s the category
I am writing you to indicate my interest in applying for the Volunteer Student Internship Program listed on the Washington Headquarters Services’ webpage. This internship would be a great opportunity for me to learn the intricacies of the Defense Department’s role in policy formulation and execution. I am hoping to intern in the spring of 2016.
It was a fascinating experience as I have learned about the legal profession and learned to build up a trusting and friendly relationship with every client. During this experience it became clear to me that a career in law needs a devoted and committed approach alongside the ability to communicate with others and work as part of a team. During the summer I have undertook an Internship with the Civil Service, where I worked with the Airport's Commission analysing the legal and economic risks in building a new runway at a London Airport. I was able to develop my analytical and presentation skills as I presented my finding to a group of senior Civil Servants. The Internship also helped me manage workload and pressure to meet deadlines skills that I can apply when I am at university.
This is a matter of pleasure for me to acknowledge my deep sense of gratitude to University Sains of Malaysia for giving me an opportunity to explore my abilities via this internship programme. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my academic supervisor, Dr. Amirul Shah for their valuable guidance and advice in completing this internship.
My internship experience this semester was interesting. I interned at ESH/MESH with Bridgeway. My Supervisor was Emilie Banz. I didn’t do much but I did learn a lot from this experience. I met a lot of great people and watch PsyR in action. I met a couple of individuals who were really cool. My experience this semester has prepared me for the next.
