Why do you want to volunteer specifically at St. David’s Medical
Center?

I would like to volunteer at St. David’s because I feel like it would be a great learning experience and it would allow me to expand my knowledge on how it is in a busy work environment. Another reason I want to volunteer is because I have a feeling it would look fantastic on my résumé/s in the future. Lastly, this sounds like a rare,fun and enlightening experience especially for my age.

What do you hope to gain from your experience as a volunteer?

I feel like I have a couple of great things to bring to your volunteer program. First off, I am comfortable with holding conversations with people I hardly know. Secondly, I have a very good memory for names and places. Thirdly, I do not get uncomfortable around any blood or vomit. Lastly, I am great at being calm in situations that present themselves as stressful or incommodious.

What extracurricular activities are you involved with both at school and outside of school? I consider myself to be very active; I run with Gilbert’s Gazelles twice a week and do boxing once a week at The Fit Pit and I try to go on walks every day. I have been an avid reader since I was in third grade for five years and like everything from classics such as Dostoevsky's “Poor Folk” to contemporary such as Stephen King fiction. I enjoy writing and that has had a positive impact on my grades at school, especially in English Honors. I love music and enjoy many genres ranging from EDM to 1950’s Jazz to classical and modern rock. I have been playing the keyboard for about a year and enjoy it thoroughly. Finally, I feel strongly about Global climate change and what measures we could do to end
