As a first generation student, education is very important to both me and my family. Then after that it would be amazing to open my own practice one day. It has been a dream of mine to work with animals my whole life, so for it to be my profession it would be absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, in the past year there have been quite a few changes to my financial situation that will make affording college

When I was a child most of school was always based on what you wanted to be. Constantly I was being asked what I wanted to become, I had always answered with a careless answer that every adult expected. I honestly had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. Soon as I moved through middle school and now going through high school I became interested in the medical field. With my passion for animals and always wanting to help them, I soon realized what I wanted to specialize in. I am interested in pursuing a career in veterinary the reason I would like to make my plan concur because I want to improve animal 's health, perform operations to cure them and possibly help them stay healthier for a much longer period. Veterinarians are always doing
The career I would like to pursue is Veterinary Technology. I have a passion for working with and around animals. If you love animals and have an interest in helping them, this may be the career for you.
Some girls when they are little want to be a princess or have other fantastical dreams that will probably never happen; however, ever since I was little I have know I was different. I had a burning passion for animals and always wanted to be a veterinarian. Some people have told me I can not do it since the field is so competitive but I remained steadfast as I child clinging to my ambitions and even now I am pursing them. It is a challenge I will surmount if I take steps, slowly but surely, towards my goal. Even know I am taking steps and planning the steps I will take towards my goal and the steps I am planning to take in order to make my self stand out as an applicant when I apply to veterinary school are to gain hands on experience with animals in a variety of ways, gain experience by working directly with a veterinarian, and becoming involved in my community.
In ten years I see myself still in college working to become a veterinarian. I do not know what college I would hope to be at ,but that I am out of regular college and just starting veterinarian school. I won’t have a career just yet ,but possibly a side job of a waitress and volunteering at the humane society once a week. My goal is very important to me because I love helping animals and I to try my best doing so. My dog means the world to me and I would want the best work done on her if something bad happened to her. The satisfaction of my career would be to care for the animals in need and successfully helping the animals. School now can help reach my long term goal because math and science plays a big part in becoming a veterinarian I also
Through my experiences, I have learned the reality of veterinary medicine. It is not about playing with puppies and kittens. My clients might not appreciate me, my patients might be difficult, I may get frustrated, and I might not make much money. Yet veterinary medicine is about more than that. It is a career with purpose, a lifelong source of challenge, personal growth, fulfilled academic curiosity, and opportunities to impact lives, both human and animal. In return, I offer a strong scientific aptitude, along with a diverse background and natural empathy. It will not be easy, but a degree in veterinary medicine is, without a doubt, my next pivotal step in
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially, and academically. It is my desire as a future educator to help students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. There are two elements that I believe are essential to establishing such an environment, (1) allowing the child’s natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (2) promoting respect for all things and all people.
Receiving a higher education has been a lifelong goal for me. All my life I wanted a job saving animals, as I got older I knew being a veterinarian is my all-time life objective. Although, I am currently a veterinary technician I need to achieve a higher educational background to completely reach my goal in life. Having a college degree gives me the nostalgia that I long for; being able to say that I’m in college achieving my goals as becoming a veterinarian is gratifying to me. Being a role model to my daughter is also extremely important; having her see that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, she will see that life is difficult and there will be constant road blocks but with determination and hard work success is within reach. After completing college I will be able to get a better job and also receive a better pay check. Going to college for a higher education level is important to many, but not all. For me, going back to college will help me achieve so many of my goals that I have longed for.
I am a biology and chemistry major at Harford Community College and am working to obtain an associate of science degree in biology and chemistry- calculus based physics from HCC. My plan is to transfer to the University of Maryland and study Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine with the goal of entering Veterinary School. I have been working towards veterinary school since I was fourteen years old. My passion for the subject began while I was working at Olney Farm, a horse farm in Fallston, MD. I began horseback riding at ten-years old and started volunteering at the farm within five months of my first lesson.
All the experiences I have had at multiple animal clinics have given me practical experience. I will be able to enter veterinary school knowing how to calculate drug dosages, set up an IV catheter, handle critical patients, and communicate with owners. Being prepared with this knowledge will allow me to dive deeper into my studies and get the most out of my years in school. I will be better prepared as a new Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to handle real world situations. I look forward to studying what I love and contributing to my community through veterinary
When I was little my teachers would ask me “Cora, What do you want to be when you grow up”? In reality, I couldn’t make up my mind on what I wanted to be ‘when I grew up’. When I was around seven, I went from wanting to be a Veterinarian to being an Astronaut, then back to a Veterinarian again. Around age 10, I wanted to be a dentist, even though I hate mouths. Then I wanted to be a Veterinarian again. Junior Year of high school came and when we started to research colleges and careers I heard that Premed programs were so hard to get into, and I wasn’t fooling anyone with my grades. I did some research on Veterinarians and I discovered that the Veterinarians don’t really handle the animals like I thought they did. Then I learned about Veterinary Technicians, they do so much with the animals. I
Becoming a veterinarian is not just a simple career choice, but also more like a passion, childhood dream, or an aspiration. Ever since I was a little girl, being around animals ten times bigger then me was just a rush of adrenaline. When one animal was found wounded or looking for shelter, someone would come and find me because I would always attempt to pinpoint the predicament. Afterwards, I asked my beloved mother if I could keep it. The largest duration I had with the animal was usually overnight. After the next day, I had to report to animal control. I saved everything from rats, birds, cats, dogs, bunnies, snakes; you name it I tried to keep it. The first time I decided that being a veterinarian was going to become my career, was back in elementary school. There was an assignment where I had to design a flip book on my personality and I remember writing how veterinary medicine captured all my interests. Ever since then, my mind has remained consistent. Although I have done research and watched interesting documentaries, there is way more to discover, and the more I discover the more fascinated I become.
The lessons I have learned in my life from both my parents and life experiences have fully prepared me to excel in college. Being a part of honors classes and taking multiple advanced placement classes I believe I am very ready for the workload to come ahead. After college I hope to fulfill not only my dream, but also my parent’s dream, of seeing myself become a successful dentist or doctor so I could accomplish all of my other life goals. I hope to be able to build a life and future for myself in
I aim for getting my bachelors in biology at the University Of Central Florida and doctor’s degree in veterinary medicine at the University Of Florida. My personal long-term goal is to reach out to sick, injured, and take care of wildlife animals. The United States is the land of opportunity, and there are many good schools here, where are also a powerful force for students entering an amazing career. People like to live and set up plans for their life in America, and so do I. My dream is gone to school and is graduated with a mathematical professor’s degree. Although I am a full-time mom of two sons, it is never too late to do something I really want. Thus, my sons and seventy-four credit hours of college are all my treasure. I am proud of that for studying hard, evolving things, and resolving problems with any conditions to survive in school and life, and I have changed from that. Every different stage has every different circumstance for dealing with, and obstacles or conflicts in life cannot stop me reaching my goal. My exceptional hardships and opportunities have just shaped my abilities better.
