As I look at potential colleges, I seek to find a school that can help me grow in three specific areas. With a solid foundation in general knowledge, an ever-increasing ability to critically think, and a well-rounded capacity to maintain and administer computer systems, I will have achieved my educational goals and will be uniquely qualified as an employee in a highly competitive workforce. A strong comprehension in these areas benefits me substantially as I strive towards my immediate goal of earning a technology degree.
Reason for seeking additional education
I want to go to college to better myself, gain further knowledge in computer systems, and prepare for a career in the technology industry. The unfortunate reality of the society which I inhabit is that without a diploma, there is little opportunity to find a job. Without a job, there is little opportunity to make money, and without money there is no way to attend college and obtain a degree. However, there is not a large game development presence in the Northwest Arkansas area. Accordingly, I plan to work in other technology related fields while I make games in my free time. This will allow me to build my skills and gain further experience in similar technical fields while I save up money to release my own game projects or otherwise prepare to enter the gaming industry as a career.
