f you think you've encountered this ad before, you are correct. We have hired six people in the last few months and we are ready to hire again. This will probably be the longest, most honest and detailed, employment ad you will ever read on Craigslist or anywhere else.

We did this so that you don't waste your time coming in for an interview for a job that you know, deep down you are not up to performing.

We are looking for hardworking, detail oriented individuals to be our Administrative Assistant.

What will our Administrative Assistant do?

Our Administrative Assistant is an integral member of our firm and is responsible for ensuring our office runs smoothly. Our Administrative Assistant's main purpose is to assist the team with scanning, copying and printing. Our Administrative Assistant processes documents that come through fax and mail, prepares files and packets for review, prints and delivers documents within the office, helps out where needed, and assists in keeping the office presentable

What are some characteristics that our Administrative Assistant should have?

You must be a positive person. If you see the glass as being half full, you are the type of person we are looking for. Our office does not do well with toxic or negative attitudes, whiners, complainers or victims, and you definitely will not fit in if you even think that you may fit into one of the above categories of negative people.

You must be competent and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office, and Outlook, at a minimum. You must also be able to proof your own …show more content…

As part of your job, you will conduct an initial interview of potential clients and get the necessary information from them to allow our attorneys to efficiently deal with their legal issues. As such, your ability to listen to what you are being told and ask follow up questions is very important. If you cannot listen, understand, evaluate and interview someone, this is not the job for you. If you are a Spanish speaker, that is a plus.

You MUST be able to handle working with several different databases of information. If you aren't 100% confident managing data and people, you are not the right person for this job. As an Administrative Assistant you will be managing paper and digital files, answering phones, meeting with potential clients, existing clients, working closely with other staff members and attorneys.
At times, you will also need to know how to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively problem solve and come up with solutions. Additionally, if you are above making a pot of coffee or helping out in another area of the office, this is not the job for you.

Our office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. You are expected to be here during those hours, with the exception of 1 hour for lunch, a morning break for 15 minutes and an afternoon break for 15 minutes.
