The career I want to pursue is dental hygiene. Hygienist remove deposits from teeth and help people practice good hygiene on their teeth and mouth. They also use devices and instruments to clean and polish teeth. Hygienist is allowed to use X-ray machines and can take dental pictures. In some states, hygienists can do fillings and polish mental restorations. They also have to have a connection with the patients to ensure that their oral health is in good condition. Their work environments are well-lighted and clean. Material used to help keep the hygienists from being sick is: gloves, mask, and safety glasses. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics dental hygienists are among some of the highest paid healthcare professionals nationwide. I feel like this career will financially support me. I always like to keep my hygiene up so I feel like I could save somebody from a bad gum disease. The smile plays a major role in almost everything you do. It makes a first impression better, so I feel the demand for depart hygienist is high. Another reason this career is suitable is because I can work on higher level degrees such as my masters and bachelors while maintaining a job. The atmosphere is people-oriented so I do not have to worry about being bored and I will always have somebody to talk to. I am a people’s person so that is another reason I would get the job done. Dental hygiene is not as stressful as most jobs which is another reason why I want this job. The reason why you should become a dental hygiene is because the demand for them is steadily rising.
