In the next year I would like to attend college and within the next three years I would like to be done with my college classes and be an Registered Nurse (RN). After becoming a RN I have thought about going back to college and getting either a doctorate or take classes to become a surgical tech. I would like to start working in a hospital to get extra experience with the healthcare system and to also help further my education. Also, working in a hospital can help me figure out my area of interest. I have a couple ideas already, but the hands-on activity is what will help me decide at last. Although I am more likely to attend a community college than other students, scholarships are still important to me to help cover the cost of the classes

Think about what you are doing and when you succeed what life you will have.” There are several different reasons why I could stay home, work and not go to college; I could go to work every day and make more money for the house, it’s easier, and I would be less stressed. One evening I sat down with my aunt, a nurse, and I was talking to her about how I couldn’t decide on a major and how frustrating it was to be in college feeling as if I did not have any direction. She looked at me with complete surprise on her face and said, “You aren’t applying for nursing school?” I stared at her for a moment because I was confused as to why she would ask me that. She chuckled and proceeded to tell me that she had always assumed that I would be a nurse because I spent several years of my life taking care of my 3 year old cousin who had cancer. Short term, I want to work in a medical facility, preferably a hospital or small clinic, in an administrative and/or clerical position. I would like to do this to gain experience on my resume since I have never worked in a medical field job before. However, I know this would be difficult with Obamacare and its laws so hopefully by then, we will be rid of Obamacare. Another long term goal of mine is to manage a hospital or a public health facility. If I am unable to open my own business, I would like to oversee an entire hospital or manage public healthcare in the community I live. Either way, I would be impacting many lives and also be very beneficial to the community in several ways.
