At least sixty percent of all Americans are employed at some kind of job. Nearly fifteen percent of the American population live in poverty. That percentage could be decreased if the amount of working Americans made a little extra money in every pay check. Many people work hard for their money and a large amount of their money is taken from them and given back to the government. There are many qualities that a person could possess that would entitle them to a raise in pay. Good employees are hard to find in this day and age and if one is found, they should be rewarded and appreciated. Someone would deserve a raise because they are good at their job, they offer a lot to their field, and they have a lot of experience. If someone is good at their job, they should be rewarded with a raise. They should be rewarded if all of their tasks are performed well and they meet all of the required deadlines. If they are an excellent employee and they perform their tasks the best way they can, they should be given a raise to show that they are appreciated. If they invest all of their time in doing their job the best that they can and they use all of their given time wisely, they should be given a raise in pay. If they work well with other people and they are a nice, pleasant person to be around, they deserve a raise in pay. If that person has certain qualities that add to their employability, such as punctuality, honesty, and respect, they should be rewarded with an increase in pay. Not enough people today have good employability skills and when someone is found who has these skills, they should be recognized and utilized.
