Some people are not thankful for what they have, but I am because I realize how blessed and lucky I am because some kids don't have as many things to be thankful about. One thing I am thankful for is my family, my family is the most supportive and loving family ever. Another thing I am thankful for is technology, technology can be the most entertaining thing and sometimes it takes your emotions and pains away. Finally I am thankful for is sports because most of the time I go outside after school and play basketball with my friends or sometimes by myself, but sometimes it helps me get my mind off of things. I am also thankful for my Mom and my Dad because they both support me and spoil me. Also my Mom helps me make good choices and she sometimes helps me on my homework if I need help. Another reason I love my family is because they have always been there for me since I was born. The last reason I love my family is because even my distant relatives give me presents for christmas even though they barely know me. I am very thankful for the ability and the existence of sports. In other words I am so blessed to have the ability to play sports because some countries they just play with a can and make their own goals or make their own basketball hoops and play soccer on their dirt road. Another reason I am thankful for sports is because it is very fun to just go outside and shoot hoops with your friends. After school days I love playing basketball and hanging out with my friends. My parents, love to do things as a family, they always wanted to do things, with me and my sister, we are a very close family and its so great because I know that my sister will always be there like she was been for the past 16 years, I know she's always just a phone call away.
During thanksgiving I really like to reflect on everything I have and it’s just a great way to remind myself to be more generous and to hold what and who I love dearly and show them that I care about them. My mom was a super-mom. She drove carpool, was always apart of every booster club and was the leader of every classroom party that I can remember. She encouraged me to do everything that I wanted to do. She made sure that I got everything I wanted. None of that would have been possible if my dad didnt work. While it felt like he was always gone, he was just doing what he had to do to make sure that my mom and I could live a comfortable life. My family is a love I have. My immediate family consists of six people: my dad, mom, and three sisters and me. However, I love these people on a different scale than I love books. In the end, my family as a whole is the reason that I am the person that I am today. It’s the way that different personalities all come together as one, the way my family handles hard situations, and the closeness I have with them that has really impact me and my life. I know that I would not be as cheerful, hardworking, or positive without seeing all these qualities around me for a majority of my life. Without technology we wouldn’t have gotten this far, we wouldn’t have a simple and convenient life or even met new people from around the world. Technology is what everyone needs for a better life, but in order for it to benefit, we need to use it in the correct manner and not exploit it.
