Why Gay Marriage Is Wrong

Society needs to realize that gay marriage is wrong and should not be accepted; even though some people see it differently they must come to realization that it imposes its acceptance on all society. There are various reasons why gay marriage is inhumane. For example, it just isn’t marriage. Calling something marriage does not make it marriage, plain and simple. Marriage has always been an agreement between a man and a woman, which by nature are meant to have children together and form wellbeing between each other. Gay marriage also does not create a family, but instead a sterile union. If the “spouses” want a child, they must bypass nature by costly and artificial means or hire surrogates. There are many other reasons why gay marriage is wrong. Gay Marriage always denies a child either a father or mother. For obvious reasons it is always beneficial for a child to be raised under the influence of his natural father and mother. “This guideline proves to be prevalent by the evident difficulties faced by children who are were raised by a single parent, relative, or foster parent” (“10 Reasons Why Homosexual “Marriage” is Harmful and Must be Opposed”). The children who grow up under parents who are gay face a very unfortunate situation because a child of a “same-sex” marriage will always be deprived of either his natural mother or father. Also being raised by a same sex couple means they have no blood relationship with the child and therefore it will lead the child to grow up wondering. Public schools will find themselves being forced to teach its acceptability to children. It will also punish anybody who expresses disapproval. If gay marriages were to be legal the majority of society would feel compelled to satisfy-same sex unions. For example parents who view same-sex marriage as being wrong will see their children exposed more than ever to this new “morality,” businesses offering wedding services will be forced to provide them for same-sex unions, and rental property owners will have to agree to accept same-sex couples as tenants. If gay marriage suddenly was to be viewed as moral by a state, then the state will expect Christians and people of good will to ultimately betray their consciences by tolerating gay marriage. This is basically an attack on the natural way of living and Christian morality. The final reason why gay marriage is wrong and should be rejected by society is because it offends god. This may sound like the most cliché reason, but it is the most important reason. Whenever someone disregards the natural moral order created by God, that person sins and offends God.
